Whats with Eddie Jordan

I played in a band years ago, that played at a charity gig hosted by Eddie Jordan outside Dublin. Thing was I had no idea Eddie Jordan had any involvement at all. When chatting to the guy after the gig I told him he looked like Eddie Jordan, he joked back saying a lot of people had told him that, he said I would look like Damon Hill if I put on a helmet.
He is a fairly decent drummer - personally I thought he was a decent bloke on a social level.

Probably is a nice guy, most people like that are. Just do your nut in when they get talking about who they are and how important they are.

[quote=Snazy;8846915]Did you give him an opportunity to talk about his own achievments and social status though ? lol [quote]
Maybe in the company of the other guests he had nothing to prove so the ego was left at home, maybe he'd loosened up after a few drinks - I simply dont know, I honestly had no idea who he was, but had a few drinks and a bit of a laugh with him and his guests.

When MS was driving Allen had his head so far up Schumachers **** I'm surprised he could even talk
Not what you need of a commentator, TBH.

I never liked James Allen. He used to annoy me alot but I would take him back over the new guy for sure.
One thing I wish they would stop doing on the commentary is asking Martin to explain something like the marbles or the dirty side of the track. He must get sooo annoyed and its an insult to regular viewers who are much more important than some gimp watching.

Once fantom, you was that gimp that heard about the marbles for the 1st time. So was I decades ago.
If the BBC are doing their job and increasing the audience then the same facts have to be repaeted periodically. Just because the marbles are always there doesn't mean the same goes for the audience, always going to be newcomers.
Regarding EJ, he so smacks of newbie presenter i'm sure he'll improve (or be told to improve!) but as RRH has eluded to he and DC's interactions do make it a good watch.
To be fair to DC he has taken to presenting like a duck to water, hit the ground running etc which makes EJ look even more cringeworthy

Yeah Jay I understand there will always be newbies, but we have the internet now. They can look everything they need to know up unlike us back in the early 80's.
