Ah but now you're straying into effete, metrosexual scrambled eggs and smoked salmon territory - no doubt with a .... cappucino. FFS

Yes, all cooked by me. Mrs po shook her head derisively when I got the camera out.

I think it's a work of art, myself, except that I feel that I copped out by not putting the beans near the eggs.

Bubba your breakfast looks good, I can almost smell it.

I too made a FEB yesterday along with photo's but my wife in her infinate wisdom has fcuked up my service provider in the vain attempt to save 6p per month.

So the long and short of it all is that I cant post pictures.....I could ask for her help but that would be shameful in the current climate.

I am struggling along on an 02 dongle at the moment as there is a war going on between BT and SkyTalk and my wife.

But I will try again later as her car needs fuel, so I may be able to do a deal, my breakfast is truely magnificent.

And something that has been missed totally by all posters is that food tastes better when your in good company, I ate my breakfast with ten of my best friends and the photos will prove that good company and good food go hand in hand.

My pictures will be posted either when she sorts out her stupid mistake with our network provider, or I give in and ask for help.

I am hoping that a full tank of diesel may do the trick and then I wont have to lower myself by asking for a favour.

Anyway back on topic.....were is the HP sauce ? and did you know HP stands for Houses Of Parliment and there is a picture of said buildings on the bottle, I also think that Daddies Sauce is namely so wrong.

Nice one Bubbs, but save the Tomatoes... urrrgh!

My idea fry up...

1 Egg
1 Sausage
Small splodge of beans
Plenty of button Mushrooms
3 or 4 Slices of decent bacon
2 Slices of toast (now is that 1 round.. or 2... uh-oh..)
HP Sauce
Tea

All served by Emily Procter wearing not a lot...

Bubba, I apologise about the HP comment, I can now just make out the bottom of the bottle....I blame my O2 dongle, naturally.

Why does HP taste better out of a glass bottle rather than a squeezy bottle ?

The same happened with Original Lucozade when it went from glass to plastic bottles there was a massive differance in taste.

I couldn't give a stuff where the beans go, as long as they're decent beans and not manky cheapy discount outlet beans. I also don't care whether the egg is cooked or runny, or scrambulated.

However, mushrooms, tomatoes, black pudding, greasy fried bread and tea are all revolting.

I mean, mushrooms! For goodness sake! Fungus is for woodlands and damp houses not fit for human population, not for eating! Ick!

What a terrible situation in which to find yourself, Yoza. I'd really like to see your brekkie too. I agree with your comment about the company you eat the food in, you're so right - I ate mine with my family but I've cooked it for several of the Muppets and other lucky souls in the past. I don't hold with criticisms of breakfasts dependent on the presence or absence of certain ingredients; either the elements are well cooked and nicely presented or they aren't - that's all that matters. I personally wouldn't put potato products on a breakfast by choice, or if I did I'd call it a "brunch".

All hail the FEB, in all its regional guises. Except the Scot who puts kippers on his. You know who you are.

I have to admit now with a FEB I tend to have 'The Full Monty' and not just a tin of beans

Who was the prat that suggested potato waffles?

Left-over new potatoes, sauteed is the thing! And absolutely NO, on ANY account 'own label' or economy beans.

As long as the yolk isn't covered I don't care what bits of a FEB touches the egg, yolk must be runny for dipping toast.

Where do people stand on using toast / bread to mop the plate? My wife hates the practice yet I think its one of lifes little pleasures...

Must be Tea

Brunch? Brunch! I didn't realise that you were of the jazz loving, beret wearing, "nice", persuasion...

You can't quibble about terminology on the basis of the presence or not of tuberiferous matter when we already have the paradox of Full English Breakfast being able to be served (and is) at any time of day or night to wrestle with - for example; some of the best FEBs I have had have been between midnight and 4am as opposed to breakfast time.

I will also confess to possessing a celtic genotype so potato based products are a must I'm afraid, but I am prepared to have that covered under regional specialities

Its an absolute requirement that there be sufficient goop left on the plate for mopping up with bread, same as a sunday dinner with the remnant gravy to be mopped up with buttered bread

This mornings effort, cooked by myself, and set me up for the day.

Not as good as the aformentioned magnificent one cooked by my wife, but good all the same....the toast needed a separate plate, and the pint of Cravendale blue top is out of shot.

Not bad, Yoza, not bad. Is that a potato cake I see nestling under there? The egg looks somewhat defeated, but at least the sausages look to be of great quality. I must confess, I was really hoping for pictures of the magnificent breakfast, but at least you've shown willing.

It is indeed potato cake, and the sausages are beef and come from a local family run butchers, they are huge.

I dont do eggs like anybody else, they need to be well, well done, hard and crispy, I blame my younger days of eating/slurping 6 raw eggs and a pint of double cream this has put me off eggs.

The magificent breakfast is on my wifes Cannon camera and wont down load via the 02 dongle, so when Sky give me my number back, or should I say give my number back to BT...I will post the magnificent breakfast.

I think you know who my 10 good friends were....
