IIRC, oil was not invented by the Scots, so it's just a case of luck that a load of marine animals died and decayed many millions of years ago close to what is now Scotland

As for bankruptcy, it is mainly Scottish bankers and a sh!te Scottish Prime Minister that has brought the UK to it's knees!

Scotland would be wholly bankrupt without England, even now the oil is gone!

I've got two bridges a powerstation and some mudflats, it doesnt get much better than that.
