Or a group buy

Or, cheekily, a discount for being a test vehicle...my engine builder and mapper are both on standby to fit this turbo, along with my new headers, injectors and FMIC...let's unleash that power

Sorry Tim your not thick, it's just "Tecno Speak"

IIRC The inlet to the Turbo is a larger Diameter than standard,

So, After the Air filter and the MAF sensor, there is a pipe that goes between the block and the red inlet manifold (called "headers"). This pipe has to be bigger but ther is not enough room to get it between them without raising them.

So they put spacers between the inlet manifold and heads to get more clearence.

IIRC "headers" is the commonly used name for the exhaust manifold, not the inlet manifold

Yes, my inlet manifold has spacers fitted, and I have a Samco 76mm inlet pipe ready and waiting...along with ceramic coated Tomei exhaust headers and uppipe, an APS FMIC and an APS dump valve

Take a look at my car's spec (is it called "my garage" now or something )

I need to do something with my handling massive understeer My Car squealled like a Pig everywhere.

https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...-airfield.html

This handling issue has only occured since I had the 18" TOYO's T1R's fitted They don't tramline but don't grip much either

I'd not fit them to a Pram let alone a car I own I had very little problems with understeer with the 3 sets of RE070's

IMHO

have to ask what should he be using for the track / road tyre on a 05 sti?

always used t1r or eagle f1's myself but what is best on an 18" rim for road and track use

and on the std 17" what is the best track tyre?

as i hope to run both sets 18" for road and 17" for track so any hekp would be great

but back on subject i am picking up a mk1 t25 on saturday so will be taking a trip over in the next two weeks to see the new place.

thanks

steve

Steve, I've always liked the RE070 tyres on track and the Eagle F1's on the road.

I'm sure you will enjoy the T25 it's a nice example

Hi martin, yes mate it will fit as far I know it can be fitted to any twin scroll set up. No price has been confirmed as yet but I would of thought around £1500. Think it would need atleast bigger injectors think about £450 and as you will be above the 400bhp mark a fmic think they supply an APS for £1200.

Cheers

If a T20, then you DO NOT need the inlet manifold raising BUT if yours is a 2.5Ltr model it may do to fit the greater 76mm diameter Turbo inlet pipe.

IIRC on the T25's have already been raised to 76mm pipe

IMHO

Tony

If you go up this Saturday you best stay clear of me then. Don't ask for a passenger drive up the road, else you may end up with an empty wallet when you see how far you can take the base Type25!

Hope you enjoy the car!

well shaun i will now ask can i have a passenger ride will be going up there on saturday after speaking to iain today on email. and i think an empty wallet is part of the enjoyment of owning an impreza . i dont think i will ever put as much time and money into it as you but i have spoke to ian about the APS front mount, larger injectors and maybe one of the new turbo's but that would not be until early next year as i promised the other half a holiday before i spent anymore money out on cars.

loving the car although i do miss the sound of my p1, the t25 is a different car to get used to with the power delivery but i am very happy with it i think i have notched up 400 miles already as i cant seem to keep out of it,

see you on saturday !!!

I was there yesterday got pics of both the new 2.0ltr and 2.5Ltr Turbos

I have ammended my previous statment below as thought there was only one Turbo
