hold your ****in horses a minute,
when i sent the turbo timer i admit i sent it to the wrong address, then i found out that a bloke 2 doors down from you had signed for it, simple go and knock the door and ask for your parcel????
the reason you have not had a refund is because when i spoke to city link (which i have a lot of leeway with through work) they sent their driver to knock the door of the delivered address (the on with the brown windows) and whoever lived at the address said they phoned the phone number on the label and gave it to the bloke who it was for, which was you.

it seems to me that you have jumped on the chance to get something for nothing because i made a mistake. you have had the turbo timer.

i have bought loads of stuff off here and off scoobynet and for the sake of £35 i havent "dissappeared" off scoobynet, i just think its full of complete ***** like yourself.

so get back in your car, turn on your tubro timer and **** OFF!!!
That's his reply in the other forum ...

after all this time, all the meets I've been to and all the posts I made does anyone think I'd try to do someone out of £35 ?? seriously ?

If i get this. He sent it (to the wrong house number), thats HIS fault and if cant be traced or found, then i would expect a refund too.

Can you find out who actually signed for it? I'd ring City Link and explain you need as much info as possible. If you cant do it, the sender should be able to.

City link have been spot on with me. They say it was delivered to the neighbouring house to the one he addressed it to.

One side lives a women who used to be friends with my mum (before she died) the other is an old couple.

I even tried knocking on the houses further up .. and no one has the parcel.. its not like its something they would have any idea about anyway ..

This is really getting to me, I'm not an aggressive person and see no point in threatening people on the internet. I do know where he lives now but again is there really any point in going round to kick off about £35 ?

Suggestions?

Get city link to go back round to the delivered address and sort it for you!

Could it be that the driver just pocketed it and forged or confused the oldies into signing it and then taking it back saying it was wrong house then pocketing it?

was the parcel insured?

Highly unlikley but a thought!

Clearly its city links fault, they admit they've delivered to the wrong address. Ask for the name of the person who has signed for it as boro has said, go round and tell them that they have signed for it so they've either got it or not. I agree with Pimmo in that if he had got it would he really go through all this trouble for £35, i don't think so. Also i think its clear that the seller doesn't have it although it IS his responsability to do his best to find where it is, and pressure city link into finding who has it also.

IMHO

I agree he sent it, but because of his mistake, I didn't receive it.

I'm guessing by the way he is reacting in the other forum he's quite young, quite sad really.

The thing that gets me more than losing the money, is that if he had kept in touch with me I would probably have just put it down to experience.

The whole, well **** you, come say it to my face rubbish gives me little hope for the reputation of Scooby owners.

He can claim for it through citylink, I cant. Hes under the impression I have it and is less than helpful.

The parcel with c(sh)ity link should be insured. Tell the guy you bought it from to claim on there insurance as you are still without delivery and give you a refund.

city link were without doubt the worst courier company we ever had working for us.

Its not city links fault, they had a number to post it to, and got it signed for by someone who was a neigbour, how can that be city links fault ?

the fault was the sender, but the bizarre thing is the untruthfulness of either the citylink guy or the receiver as the OP should of been able to knock on said door and say,you have a parcel for me,here it is bud, thankyou.

so the citylink guy has robbed it or the receiver has robbed it (neigbour)

Sorry, you are totally correct - I just scan read the previous posts -sender should cough up and pay a refund or do all the running about and track the parcel down for Pimmo.

Pimmo, you havent said if youve got the name yet of who signed for it?

Who lives at this address?

Can you get a copy of the signature?

I still dont get how this can be so complicated to sort out.

For eg, it was meant to come to House number 4, was addressed for 29, but gets delievered to 27 cos 29 were out.

So, house 27 has it (apparantely). Who lives there? Is it the same name as signed for? Can you get a copy of the signature?

What exactly have the people from number 29 said? Did they even get a knock on the door?

Are they so old that they dont know what day it is?

I'd still say it was Citylink's fault.

They delivered the parcel yes..but to the neighbour of an incorect address... at that point, if they could not deliver to the address on the parcel, they should have left a "cannot deliver this parcel please call to re-arrange delivery" card.

Corner cutting by the courier and compounding this problem into something far more complicated, through lazyness and trying to save money.

I stopped using citylink years ago after a £4k theodolite went "missing"...

You'd have to check CL terms and conditions to prove they shouldnt have left it with a neighbour.

Taken from CL website

I have received a card telling me that I have missed a delivery, what do I do now?

If you have been left a card by one of our drivers please read the instructions on the card. If it is the first delivery attempt our driver will automatically try and redeliver the next working day (excluding Saturdays). If this is the second card you have received then it will be necessary for you to collect your parcel(s) from your local depot. For more information and to find the location of your local depot Track your Parcel(s)
T&C's >>> http://www.city-link.co.uk/sending-a...conditions.pdf

No, after a month of trying to sort it, I start a thread to try and get his attention and warn others.

He sent it to the wrong address! Regardless of citylink.. I paid for it to come to me.. not someone else.

It looks like martin according to the sender..

I don't know their name, the women said no men have been there other than her husband.

I cant but the sender already has

The parcel has gone missing, what else can I do ? I contacted citylink and knocked at everyone house.

The house it was addressed to is empty.. so they had very little to say

I would too ! and am a bit disappointed its come down to this ..

I'm not out to insult the sender, as he is to me, I just want my money or ideally the TT ..

You can track parcels online with the tracking number, not sure if it gives you a name though. The last few deliveries ive had i just squiggle on an lcd screen and thats it. Anyone who could read it would deserve a medal.

Worth checking tho.
