All the tracking code gives you is a postcode? Whats the point in that? You would already know the postcode if you had to either send or receive it.
Surely it must say what date it was delivered, time, etc?
If it doesnt, theres no point in tracking.

Simple, you paid for something. You have not received it and someone else has. Citylink are not helping you so contact the police! Someone somewhere has a TT they have not paid for therefore have kicked it !!

post up the tracking information so we can see who signed for the item because all tracking codes i have seen show the signature of the person that signed for it if its sent recorded delivery.

Cant believe you still havent had this resolved, such a frustrating thing.
From what I can understand, the guy that sold this to you put the wrong address on the parcel, City Link delivered your parcel to the correct address in their eyes, but you still dont have possession of the goods.
Right now I'd be thinking about reporting this to the police as theft, you paid for something and never took delivery.
Tell the sender its down to him to find the parcel and sort this mess out.

You say that the house it was posted to is/was 'empty'?
By this do you mean that the property is empty, or you have not been able to get in touch with the people that live there?
If indeed the property is empty then maybe the city link courier has in fact stolen the item and forged this story about it being delivered to the address?
If the item was supposed to have been delivered to your address but was delivered to an incorrect address, yes that is a mistake. However there was nobody in at the incorrect address, so it was delivered next door. They should have the parcel. Go an knock on the door, with a copy of the consignment/ delivery note, ask to speak to 'MARTIN' and tell them you expect your parcel. I see it as that simple. If 'MARTIN' does not in fact live at the address, ask the occupiers of the home if they would help out if a small claims court/police intervention is needed. If they are lying, I am sure that may get something stirring.
I am assuming that I am somewhere close.
It is all a complete **** up, and yes city link is to blame. They went against their policy regarding safe delivery of items.

I would start by asking them for a refund based on that. Your name isnt martin i take it and you have proof it was signed for by someone other than yourself.
If that doesnt get you anywhere, i would contact city link again, advising them no-one at the delivered address is called Martin either and ask why the parcel wasnt signed for by someone at the address.

City Link is a franchise as far as I'm aware, phone up your local depot with your tracking number.
Ask them who the delivery driver was as they all have similar routes each time.
Explain the situation and that you want the driver to show you where he delivered your items.
Shouldnt be that hard if you live local to where they are supposed to have made delivery. That way you can find out whos feeding you a load of bull, your delivery driver or your neighbour.

Current status of CityLink ticket - Someone called Steve is saying it should have gone to house ## and that 29 is an empty house. Checks on going at Warrington depot. I suggest ringing City Link for an update. Warrington depot should be 01925 445724.
Several things about City Link - They are no longer a franchise, you can request to deliver to the sender only and all drivers should take a photo of the property they attempted delivery. This means City Link should have a photo of door 29 as it was carded to say the goods have been delivered to neighbour xx.
To progress the investigation, the account holder (sender) needs to request as they are the customer whom sent the goods.
As mentioned already. Due to the POD being nearly 6 weeks old, the resolution of you getting the goods is slim. Therefore your only course of action is with PayPal.
Suggest ringing PayPal customer service and speaking to them calmly. The tel number can be found when you log into your PayPal account. Inform them you have an existing INR (Item not Received) claim because the sender has sent the package to the wrong address. Provide PayPal will simple facts such as informing them the City Link tracking number given by the seller is proof that the delivery address is wrong and that the seller has also admitted this to you in email (if that is the case).
FYI - Because the item didn't ship to the exact address on the buyers PayPal account the seller loses their PayPal Protection Policy. If PayPal do not assist in anyway you can escalate this to the FOS Financial Ombudsman Service.

You have to be welcomed in by a member of the administration team, and as pimmo has managed to besmudge the good name of sn over on the site, I imagine they might not be taking any users who they know off here. Can't blame them really.

Just read this, Sorry to hear about the situation, he could have resolved this in two phone calls but he took the name calling route. Its a pity, but like you said, seems an increasing number of scooby owners are not very nice ( I have had my own problems).
