I'll use this link for reference........ Polishing Compounds

When you see "cut and colour" it means you cut into the metal plus it will shine it, colour is shine.

Aluminium is a non ferrous metal Non-ferrous metals one of our reps that retired advised me that simply using Carbrax MG to start with which gives a good cut and also colours well plus a bar of Blue is all you ever need to polish non ferrous with.... get the blue out and give it a go there

Where about's in the country are you Dunk ?
DoHHH!!!

Looks like I have been using the wrong polishes then, I didnt know Aluminium was non ferrous, I thought it was only the likes of copper, brass, zinc etc etc

Anyhoo this is the polishing kit i bought (well a small part of it TBH not including the other dremel stuff ) Metal Polishing Kit General Purpose 6" x 1" GPK0-6002 on eBay (end time 06-Feb-10 20:50:59 GMT)

Will give it a go with the blue polish tomorrow then and see if I can get a shinier end finish, was going to call it a day with it as it is but now you have planted a seed in my head lol

I'm up in Aberdeen, just getting the back of snow now!

You should be able to get that up like a mirror..... your just about there it just needs finishing by the look of it to me.

Ferrious and non ferrious can be confusing even I googled it to confirm

That is not a bad kit to get the job done, if you check my link out you will see the prices are not to bad buying seperates and those bars in my link are nearly a kilo each, they look as if they originated with us, it looks exhactly like the stuff we have on the shelf.

Chuffing mops drive me mad or is it the cutomers

Simon

I know this is a non standard manifold but quick like the finish:

Is this a joke ?? Smooth airflow out the question then ?? Has the turbo melted the paint yet ? pmsl

Wow, some impressive manifolds in here!

It may not be high on many peoples list of priorities but how does this affect the IM's performance?

Minimal I'd have thought. Get it ceramic coated or wrap it to try and lower intake charge temps.
