It's just the right volume for me now Tyron you can hear the note but it does not intrude in the car to much... a good motorway pipe as well, this is the same as is on Kev's car.
I will probably paint the inside of the pipe exit black again to disguise the reduction in diameter as it was oem... there is no bung that's how it is, there is a baffle in the centre and one in the backbox but it is a 3" system and still flows well.

Hi, so let me get this right, a Full stainless will for from Classic to New age and viceversa with the aid of an additional bracket tig-wleded on? Does this include the Turbo up and down pipe?

I hear the best to go for is a 3" all the way through, with a 2" up pipe and 4" tail pipe completly decated.

If your thinking: this will need mapping after fitting - no worries as i will remove the pill restrictor until the car is mapped in a few weeks.

Id appreciate advice please, classic to new age fits? and width of pipes?.

thanks Rob

Hi Rob - I've just finished with my exhaust (JDM WRX 02) - after taking some time to get all the bits fitted, I think the standard exhaust on yours would be a 4 piece system from the turbo back i.e. - 1.Downpipe, 2. Small Mid Cat pipe and 3. longer Resonator pipe and finally 4. the Back box.

Mine had a 3 part system fitted , 1. Downpipe, 2. Cat and resonator in one longer pipe and 3. Back box.

I have fitted these items with no problem - Classic fitment 3" Bellmouth Down pipe to 2.5" outlet - joined to a TSL Cat and de-resonator pipe, again for classic fitment and finally a firestorm Back Box.

No brackets were required and it works a dream - Tailpipe oulet would be a matter of taste, but I guess 4" would be fine - mines a 5" JDM styleee.

A 3" full system would prob give you better gains in the end - but that's a matter for you.

The classic D/P I used had the 02 sensor up at the bellmouth - just unscrew yours from where it is, and re-plug it - works fine on mine.

HTH....

Thanks Rally Fan 555 fr the advise. I have Just bought a full stainless inc decat down and up pipe for my model as required to get the best out of the car. Although it seems perfectly acceptable and practical to fit a classic exhaust to a new age i decided against it. Afterall the only reason for this option for me was because i so a good deal i could not afford to miss out on, but this has since been sold

I will fit it next week, but im still sourcing some other bits before mapping, ie Intercooler and Injectors. Might even see if i can get myself a TD05 16g or 18g before fitting the exhaust..... who knows

Thanks again Pal

Rob
