I usually hate them stupid musical ones to be honest, although i do have the theme music from Turrican2 as my alarm clock

If not, you can use a nice little package called Audacity
It's free and available on both Mac & PC.
Just set your start and end points for the required bit of audio. Save as MP3
This isn't "****"-proof. Audio editing is an art skill - takes time to get it spot on!

on the works blackberry I have the default ring tone, on my personal phone I have the classic telephone rigning sound as I know this is my phone that is ringing and no on elses
I used to have the crank ring tone until every one kept asking was my phone broke LOL

Mine is meant to be 'Sunburn' by Muse, the tune they use on the golf on the BBC, but more often than not it goes back to that bloody Nokia tune! It does it randomly! I think it's a bug with some of the new Nokias.

My ringtone is South Bronx by Boogie Down Productions but more in the spirit of the moment, my text tone is 'Green Army' from the Aviva ad. Quality, janner!

Done the "Peter Griffin Side Boob hour" and "Giggidy, giggidy, giggidy let have sex" quote from Quagmire.
Currently on Topgear as my ringtone - shamlessly stolen from Youtube as a sound file
