Pulled over for apparently doing 88mph in a 50 zone.

Almost all the attendees were 50+. One part of the course involved writing down the national speed limits for urban A roads, rural A roads, dual carriageways and motorways. I was stunned by the number of people in the room who thought that dual carriageways were 60mph, and even worse, rural A roads were 40mph (probably 60%). And these were the ones caught speeding!

I had to go on one of those speed awareness courses to avoid some points on my licence (35mph in a 30mph zone - about half a second of arc on the throttle pedal!).

Well ofcourse that would depend on what type a vehicle you were driving as there are different national speeds for different types ie A road national limit in a wagon or van that is not dirived from a car its 40. Thats where it gets confusing for some. Ive got to go on one of these courses in a fortnight and i was done in a wagon so i would assume when im asked the limits i would refer to the lower limits or do i write both? lol
