Ron, i was scrolling down looking for someone to have metioned this film. Ive d/l it on Xvid and almost got to watch it last night but couldnt.

A mate recommended it and says its the BEST film he's ever seen and he's really into movies.

The trailer looks awesome if you're into action, bombs, war, etc.

Saw Hurt locker a few days ago-good film about war, probably not the best-just puts our current climate over there in perspective.
You'll have to look hard for the Guy Pearce cameo and Fiennes' role is quite short, but effective too-overall well reccommended.
Off to see Final destination in a few days for a laugh-only to see it in gimmicky 3D
'In the loop' is a quality darkish political comedy which slipped through the net,but is worth finding out.Quality, intelligent script from Iannucci.Peter Capaldis character is fantastic

Another vote for The Hurt Locker. Found myself holding my breath quite a bit during the first half of the film and I liked that it didn't have the usual plot you see in similar films. Second half didn't seem to hold the attention as much but still enjoyable. If you ever think you have the worst job in the world you need to watch this.

Tonight people I am going to be....... watching 'The Antichrist'.
The reviews are pretty good and it seems to have a different spin on the usually horror/thriller.

Will give a review of it myself tomorrow. Marks out of 10 for sh1tting myself will also be noted.

Take him to see G-Force in 3D - it's awesome!!!

Seriously, the 3D effects are so engaging and work really well with the film's content - it's one not to be missed on the big screen and that's coming from someone not wanting to watch it but was dragged along by both the missus and my daughters (4yrs & 9yrs). I was totally engrossed and would recommend it to anyone for the 3D experience - kids'll love it.

On the other hand I went to see Final Destination 4 in 3D and that was absolute $hite in comparison. Sure the 3D effects were there but they didn't seem to be half as good as in G-Force.

Usually a big Tarantino fan but this filem was the a-rs-e end of s-hi-t-e - meadiocre at best but could have had potential if we got to know a bit more about some of the 'baystardos' (you could have done a whole movie with those dudes going all gorefest on everyone).

And what a gahey ending, wtf was all that about, lots of tension and when you expect a big bad *** fight scene all you get is some ****ing camp **** going on the ****ing screen and hey presto end of the ****ing movie.

District 9 rocks and in case anyone hasn't worked it out it's a dig at apartheid in Africa and the more recent stuff going on in Gaza.

Also recommend:

Sleep Dealer (wicked tech/surreal movie from south america)
Time Travelers Wife - good old school style fun movie
Fighting

some other stuff I watched but forgotten and if you are a horror movie fan visit my mates site Horror Extreme | Extreme Horror and Exploitation Movies - News, Reviews, Pictures and Videos

I watched the Antichrist last night. It was not what I expected at all. In fact I was very disappointed!

I can only give it a 4/10.

The film was very dark visually and atmospherically.
It was odd, strange and quite uncomfortable/shocking in some points, but it just didn't seem to go anywhere. There were a lot of loose ends, and parts of the film seemed sketchy and unexplained .

I would not recommend it, unless you want to watch something 'different' and what I would class as in some scenes as 'soft ****'. Not a problem, other than some of the scenes that contain this mildly explicit material are just plain disturbing towards the end.

If anybody wants me to fill them in on the plot I will happily do it, either on here or a pm. I just don't want to spoil it for people who may want to see it.

Saw this last night, excellent film. Some of the alien guns are awesome, lots of stuff taken from vid games, got a vague flavour of Halflife from it, was very good mixed in with all the Apartheid jazz. Focking prawns!

I saw it tonight and thought it was superb, my mate apologised to me for selecting it though and really didn't like it

I think it will be one of those films some people just don't like, mainly down to the shakey camera work a la Cloverfield.

Just came back from seeing pandorum excellent film , I went in expecting to see some crappy horror film thrown together for haloween. But it is genuinely a well written film, with some genuinely tense moments

And the aliens make this guy look like a big poof
