Given the previous information you've posted on your sister, this does not surprise me in the slightest and I would get the car back now. I would not be shocked if they didn't bother to tax it because it cost to much, or simply to spite you as you would not tax your car, even though it is they who are using it as you cannot. If they did that then who'd be the poor bugger getting crap when they get a pull for no tax? It'd be your fault for not taxing it for them, nothing to do with them being tight lazy buggers

Markus, I know what you mean mate.
They can keep it if they want, but it will be SORN from the end of the month, and uninsured too.

Good luck.

That said, her O/H is actually ok about these things, its just my sister. She will prob tell him I have asked for the car back and say nothing about her not wanting to tax it.

Not true!!! I've been known to wash, polish, hoover and fill the fuel tank on Enterprise rental cars, you should see the reps reaction when they come to pick it up.

So, can I borrow the GTR?

Take it back, she is something, she really is. You'd think she'd be grateful, even get you something for being so kind (family or not).

Why should you pay for tax on something you can't use, that you can keep off road just so they are ok? It's a big enough favour to lend them the car in the first place.

And no, you're not being a c*ck. A few days loan is fine but several months? They should pay all running costs. Shame you can't choose family .......

Dave
yup, named on the policy.
I kinda thought the same about the running costs, but clearly in her eyes thats very wrong.

lol im the same, I always make an effort to make the car as good as possible. When we borrowe the friends car in the states a couple of months ago, it was washed, gassed up and tyres and any other maintainance I could do sorted. Was even gonna take it for an oil change as it asked for one, but was not sure about who should do it, warranty and all lol.

lol I would love to see the world through her eyes for just one day.
She is the kinda person that would moan about the weight if you handed her a free bar of gold! Ask for a lighter, yet equally valuable one.

Given her ever expanding family, in the long term I was looking at giving them the car when I replace it next year..... I am now rethinking that idea

The only thing you should give her is a swift kick in the ovaries (after the baby is born of course)

Suprise suprise...

I asked for the car to be returned this evening. No sign of it. Her other half works earlies, so the car should have been back by about 4-5.

As a little reminder I text earlier to say how much the tax WOULD have been if they were sorting it. All I got back was a mouthful about how rediculous the price was, and was the car magic or something.

Tsssk.

lol it gets better.
Like the mug I am, I also pay for my niece and nephews mobile phones. Call it stupid or caring, whatever you will.
Anyway my niece has always been good. But checking last months phone bill tonight I have found she has gone FIVE HOURS over her talk time.

The months bill is £64 quid!
This month she went another hour over.

I told my sister about this too, and without so much as an apology she simply replied saying I can keep the £30 she lent me! How generous!

Lesson learned today..... try to help people you will be shat on. Try harder, the shat comes from a higher height.
