As soon as he said, Ive got all this on camera, that surely is an open invitation to take it off him.

Along with a smigen of concussion.

Rule number 1 dont fcuck around in your car with a stupid easy to remember number plate...like YOZ4, or S44GGY, MY GTR, T055ER, P3NUS etc.

By the way that is SHAGGY not SAGGY (It wasnt me..)... thanks.

Subaru driver manoeuvre wasn't great, but:

- we don't know how well lit / visible the bike was
- the subaru wasn't doing "100mph" as claimed in the credits
- the reversing may not be aggressive - could well just be pulling back from the roadworks on the nearside

the driver has been a **** here, but hte cyclist hasn't helped himself.

Very Amusing,
I thought the air horn was on the scooby....
What it doesn't show you is how big the cyclist is..
D4N seems to do an about face rather sharpish....
If your willing to get out of the car, you have to be prepared to do a bit more than call someone a "Bitch" .....

so how close was the Scooby to the bike? i have watched the video but cant make it out, and couldnt hear any mention of road tax amongest all the other noise and verbal.

I frequently see cyclists with these camera's when i am at work in town still boys toys for the peddle power people.

OK, again, I'm not sticking up for D4N OK here, but our recumbant cyclist has 23 videos on Youtube of people "driving badly". He takes offence easily and seems surprised when people react negatively towards his very strident airhorn.

If he (or others from that forum) are reading this, seeing as the thread is linked from there, here's some tips for free: don't ride in the middle of the road when there's a clearly marked cycle lane (holding up traffic even if you are only 5mph slower than the flow of traffic), don't shout at other drivers and sound an air horn and then act all shocked and scared when the other driver reacts.

Seriously, check out his other vids, he's his own worst enemy. One thing I learnt from years on 2 wheels (both pedal and engine powered) is that a human on a bike will always come of worst against cars and trucks so ride defensively and assume everyone on 4 wheels or more is a moron. No amount of shouting and blasting of air horns will be a better approach than this.

The Subaru driver is what is referred to as a 'mouthpiece'. Notice how he comes forward shouting, then immediately runs back. When people have that short a temper it's usually because they feel inferior, and they never back it up.

23 videos???

As I said in post 28 you have to suspect he's a bit of a tool and that just proves it. We have all had a bit of road rage, but you just let it go after a few minutes rather than run home and post your video on You Tube.

Hope he reads this thread from the link on the cycling forum

Just read the thread over there on Cycle Chat. As much as I agree that the Scoob driver was a complete idiot you do have to marvel and the overtones of self righteousness from the cycling fraternity on that thread.

They all to a man fail to find anything odd about someone cycling around with a video camera, sounding airhorns at anyone whose driving they decide isn't up to their own obviously impeccably high standards and posting the videos of the road crimes commited against them on You Tube.

I try not to think of cyclists as complete bell ends as many are obviously not, but faced with that sort of thread it is hard not to generalise.

Well i am not a fan of the scooby drivers reaction but i couldnt see how close he went to the cyclist? Maybe he felt he was far enough away?

The cyclist did seem to anticipate the confrontation as his imediate reaction was boast he would post the video of the car on Utube and the claim the car was doing 100mph nearby just lacked credability!

Has anybody watched all his 23 video's? are they all about bad drivers or does he also report other things like cyclists jumping red lights etc, i ask as it would show if he has an axe to grind or just posts videos of all events though 23 video's also seems a lot of "events" how many miles does he cycle? I road a bike to and from work for 6 years and would struggle to get more than a couple of incidents and they were always lorries with the side draft.

Watched this twice now, Got to say the scooby driver was in the wrong,

1. We don't what, if the cyclist has done anything before this to the driver?
2. The cyclist at times it well out in to the road.
3. Does he have lights on his back? Although he has a camera so probably yes?
4. Why the F@~k would you have a camera on a bike, unless you are doing a down hill mountain run, not on way to shops to get some bed.

I get on the old push bike quite a bit, but I don't stick a camera on my bike. The cyclist was going out look for trouble.

Has anyone read the comments under the video. I am so tempted to log in and say I think the scooby driver was in the right. Think it would start a nerd riot.

If you look at the comments below on the original video, you'll see I was at one point taking 2 of them on in a battle to the death

I gave up as the argument on their side was so flawed it resembled swiss cheese.

Right, where do i start?

What sort of ****** drives around with a camera on a recumbent bike?

Secondly the ****** in question has posted 28 vids on youtube, and has freely admitted to ASKING the police to put a marker on any car HE feels is driven in a manner HE doesnt see fit!

Thirdly the scooby driver clearly said the tool on the recumbent pulled out on him (which i believe as he probably did it to provoke a reaction he could film).

fourthly, the cyclist stated at the sart of the video the scooby driver reversed AT HIM on camera, where as really he just reversed about 3 feet to safely pull out with out hitting something in front of him!

This ****** clearly has no life at all and spends his spare time annoying motorists and filming their reactions, the going running to the police. He will annoy the wrong person one day and get smashed up badly!

And last but not least i would have taken his camera off him and smashed it to small bits infront of him, then twatted him when there was no camera there, this *** hat has no right to go around harrasing motorists in this way, i hope he gets run over by an artic or gets ball cancer!

Is it possible for a recumbent user to give a signal to indicate he is pulling out ?

Does he have indicators ?

as one handed it should be lethal ? ?

There is definitely a type that goes for the cameras, I dont want one myself but I can see the argument for having proof when someone does something you dont like but as you are very vulnerable on a bike, I wouldnt however follow it through and get one, if someone does something unpleasant to me and doesnt kill me, I would make sure I got my own back if at all possible, I think D4N was probably driving quickly and a bit agressively, recumbent driver feels that the overtake is a bit close and lets him have a blast of his horn which caused the reaction from D4N.

Recumbent driver needs to avoid antagonising people if at all possible, the next prson may complete the reversing manuever, on a bike, you can be 100 percent in the right and still end up dead, needs to decide whether it is really that bad, dispense with the camera, if it is bad, trace the very easily identifiable car and then take it from there.

D4N, needs to remember the bravery and ego he gets when blasting round in his Scoob quickly evaporates when he steps from it, it is a car, potentially you can kill someone, driving round like a **** doesnt endear you or the car type to the public, wearing a very identifiable registration, badly spaced, as Yoza says is mental if you plan to cause problems and over react to situation, he needs a new line in insults and put downs, and to stop going on about road tax like he personally pays for the road network, cyclists under law are allowed to use the road, it isnt going to change, bleating on about it just makes you seem petty and clueless, most cyclists own cars as well.

So, kind of both to blame.

And as for them all being *****, or whatever, I post over there, generally a good and helpful bunch so dont go over annoying them as it wont improve the already tarnished image of the Scoob driver, a few over there have had a Scoob.

Don't know why you're bothering over there. Their views are clearly so entrenched that you won't get any joy.

Anyway take solace in the fact that one day Mikey boy will meet a driver who rightly or wrongly will take umbrage at having an airhorn sounded at him and a camera shoved in his face and will dole out some rough justice.

Actually looking at one of his videos on You Tube where he films a guy using his mobile phone whilst in a van (in standing traffic) I think it has already happened. He shoves the camera virtually into the guy's window and after a few seconds the driver puts the phone down, unclips his seat belt and starts to get out.... the video then conveniently stops and in the comments underneath Mikey says nothing further happened.... sure it didn't

Besides, some of us have driven fast cars and bikes, rode the IOM TT course, done the Nuerburgring, and chased Porsches down the autobahns.

'99 CBR900 RRX.

This was not meant to be an attack on Subaru drivers. But it was meant to show a bully their behaviour will not be tollerated.

Sorry for being thick, but where is this site, and where are the videos.

I have just found out what a recumbent is, I thought is was a word used to describe the cyclist.

From what Ive read and seen upto now, I dislike the recumbent ****.

Where is he from, what does he do, does he work in a circus ?

I'm a bike rider as well as a subaru driver. however I do fail to see why he has a camera strapped to his bike taking some dried up downhill river maybe. but cycling to the shops?
