North Yorkshire is the biggest county in England, yet with the lowest population density its Police force is relatively small for its size, and thus it is easy to have some fun and not be under continuous scrutiny. They are out there, but it doesn't take much wisdom to evade their gaze

Where do you normally go for a 'local' drive John, or is it just the track?

Hellooo!
Tracks best obviously and Brands is obviously only 15 mins away, but I've heard that some people might go for a warm the car up drive out the Darenth valley from the Brands Hatch end towards Sevenoaks and back up the hill from Westerham to Badgers Mount and back through Orpington, but obviously not me , and also that the B2028 to Edenbridge from near westerham is a pleasant drive - quite a few roads around there as well - Ide Hill etc Edenbridge to Lingfield, around Tunbridge wells, etc .

Many years ago there used to be an informal club called the Clang and Ballers that used to meet up at an undisclosed location close to us at about 5am on a Sunday morning and go to Brighton and back by a selection of most excellent roads. I went once (in the snow) - terrifying, but learnt some good roads, despite some of the other cars visiting the scenery en route.

BTW the way our other halves met up the other day - didn't realise that my boy and yours are as thick as thieves in school - so have been instructed to arrange a get together by her indoors. Will drop you a line or drop in shortly.
