Watching that top gear vid, the Mclaren F1 looked like it pulled quite far ahead of the bugatti, especially when you look at the in car view camera(inside the bugatti)!!! Made me think they didnt have just the 1 drag race, could have been a few and just used the best camera angles!!!! At the end of the day its got to be edited for tv, so there going to show it the way they want you to see it!!!!

Would love to see a magazine feature on the Veyron and F1 and see the unbiased views on these 2 in a drag race, cant see how the veyron would be that far behind then catch up that quick, both cars are stupidly fast and can do over 200+mph!!!!

i'm sure the hamster made a point that the conditions really really did not suit the veyron!!!
either way the f1 is still a capable machine!

Would be nice to see an f1 lm against a veyron, or even better an f1 turbo now that would be interesting.

Meh who cares a caparo t1 would destroy them both provided it stays in one piece long enough or doesn't catch on fire first..........

iv got pictures of that from santa pod

 

saw it go up the drag strip aswell at santa pod and blowing it up in 2008 then it was back this year ago at pvs 2009 saw it again on the strip

That's a myth isn't it Veyron is not THAT quick.

That Vauxhall Victor owner lives near me, my brother knows a few people who are part of a club that he is in where you can only join if you have a car that is quicker then 12seconds down the strip, most of the club members own 10-11 second classic VW beetles!!!!!


Cant wait to pull up next to him at the lights, going to smoke him!!!!

the veyron could give 13 sec head start and still get to 200mph first. it's like an evo fq360 vs porsche gt3. up to 100mph they will be similar, but from 120mph up the porsche will be quicker.


'but top gear say it's closer'. didn't they say schumacher is the stig?

 

This is a video I found some time ago. The road's are awesome but the driver's are absolute ****'s who almost wipe out normal unsuspecting member's of the Brazilian public several time's. The road's there driving on could be driven much faster by more competant driver's in the car's there driving but it's still an interesting watch;
