Sounds like there is a lot of S*!t going on, off the net,
for the scoobysprint championship entries, looking at in in the future will make it better.
Other Venues for a start,
Less noise issues,
It's a shame Cr4p has to force changes, I can understand Guys wanting to do the shootout, But the Sprint Championship for myself and I think most of the other Sprint entries, has been a good experiance and good fun,
It looks like the posibility of other venues for 2010, which has got to be good.

Thanks guys.

Your support means a lot to me.

Bear in mind, we're still hoping to run the Official ScoobyLive Shootout, 1/4 mile, which we're discussing with two different venues currently... so nothing will be lost from the event, and a lot will be added, for less cost.

Dont quite no whats going on But from someone like me who just wants to bring the kids and wife. will it effect me or do i just pay at gate.

Also this might sound dumb but my boy is 3 so he will be really looking forward to it my 9 year old fancies himself as a buddin mechanic and when hes not at school hes stripping imprezas so id really like them to see some off the cars clinics and the other competetors in particular.

So if there going to be an atmoshpere and a dog **** day due to argueing I WILL GET A REFUND from the main gate.

Hope you sort it lads as its all my kids are talking about.

I dont mean to sound the village idiot mate or tight lol. Its not the point off the money its the fact that they will look forward to it. as long as theres some raceing and scoobs roaring about and they have a burger they wont want anything else. The fact its only 45 mins away is even better.

Mark (big fud), Scooby Shoot out has been going since 2003, and was created by me and Dave Peck (Peccy), we got Chris Mann (TOTB) involved along with Trevor from Straighliners to help start the event, and build it from there. We were refused point blank suppot from Scoobynet at the time, and for the next year also, even as a moderator of Scoobynet at the time, i still couldnt convince them to support the event!

The event in my eyes, and Dave Pecks eyes, was about getting a bunch of subaru nutters together so they could rag the living daylights out of their cars, either on the strip or circuit in a legal format without being done by the police. For those that didnt want to do that, they could watch others doing it. The first two years we had 80+ competitors! Not bad for word of mouth.

The events were a success straight from the off, and became very popular. Sadly in 2005 SDB became involved and tried to capture it under the banner of Scooby Live, but never really liked any reference to Scooby Shoot Out. I guess because it wasnt his idea (although i dont know for certain!)

Everyone i know in the Subaru community associates Scooby Shoot Out with the event where Scoobs battle it out over the 1/4mile and the handling circuit. Nothing else.

From my moderating experience, i would take what SDB (ex-webby) says with a pinch of salt, over promise, under deliver springs to mind!

There WILL be a load of scoobs at SSO on the 20th September, if your son loves them so much, he can come and join my son, and sit in/look around the bright Yellow subaru i will be driving!

I totally agree mate. Unfortunately, someone has just tried to change the event that was agreed and has been advertised all year.

So.. either way. The event is still going ahead, just at a different, better venue. So don't worry, you'll be looked after. I'm sure trev will run his event as well, so you'll even have a choice!

I'm just really sorry that it's come to this, I've spent 2 days trying to get an answer out of someone, but the pillock posting the messages in this thread hung up when I rang him saying he would only speak to me in writing!??!?! and the bloke who SHOULD know what's going on seems to be telling different people different things, and all the indications are that the event was going to be spoilt for our competitors who have supported the Scooby Sprint series all year, and the ScoobyLive / Shootout events for the last 4 years.

I'm not willing to let everyone get ripped off.

Fortunately, all that is behind us, as we're no longer working with them.

Anyway.. this is all being sorted out now, so FULL information will be available right across the forum in a couple of days at the absolutely most.

So far it seems there are two people in support of Mark's posts (one being Mark), and everyone else either just really hacked off at the problems this has caused, or just happy we're able to resolve it.

Thanks to everyone for their support. I think its worth someone locking this thread until full details are made available.
