Runnning this on standard STI8 internals and ecu.

MAF removed
GRD Tubular manifold
GRD Twisted uppipe and downpipe
GRD custom 3" exhaust
Hyperflow monster front mount intercooler with custom pipework
Hyperflow front mount oil cooler
Hyperflow oil catch can
Turbosmart external wastegate
Turbosmart supersonic DV
Fuel Labs fuel pressure regulator
Apexi AVCR boost controller
3bar MAP sensor
GRD group N ecu map
full time antilag
Group N engine and gearbox mounts
sytec 255lpr fuel pump
15% methanol mix with shell vpower
517bhp 465lbs

I'm running std internals, gearbox, etc. Over 450 on pump and above that on mix fuel. Done all of Time Attack this year, 10 or so track days, and drive 300 miles to work and back most weeks with no issues. No dyno graph to show you though, sorry.

I have to admit, i'm astonished at how many have been running big power on standard engine and for how long.
aaronhowe's has suprised me most, 517hp, antilag, track days, over 2 years!!!
Had deeply considered the 2.1 stroker for engine strength but may reconsider and keep it stock, see how much i can push for...
Top notch everyone

As long as you have done the suspension, brakes and clutch n flywheel then are prepared to take the risk of the potential engine failure as some get away with it and some don't but here it goes
turbo - a md321h or rcm400 would be best suited to a 2.0 and will see 400bhp some run a md321t or rcm450 but these IMO are best suited to a 2.5 as they can be a little laggy on a smaller block but that is personal choice.
Injectors - atleat 550's but you may as well go for 740's so you have room to play with at a later date
intercooler - on a newage the top mount is better then the one on a classic but IMO it would be best to run a fmic again for future modding
Induction - a uprated pannel filter would be ok but if you fit a fmic you will need something like a k & n or a larger k&n from roger Clark
full decat system a 2.5 will do it but can start to be restrictive at this level so a true 3" would be better
an uprated fuel pump from walbro or bosh a 255 or one ofthe newer 300 pumps
a possible fuel pressure regulator, oil catch can, oil cooler
And finaly a ecu upgrade and a remap by one of the tuners or mappers such as bob Rawle, jgm etc and you should be at 400-450 depending on which of the above you choose.
Just my opinion and I may of missed a bit or two but personaly I would not do it unless you uprated the internals as I don't like the idea of spending all that money for it to go pop and be to affraid of driving it hard as it will be in the back of your kind that it may go, but as stated some last and some don't
Choice is yours

If all you want is 400 then the standard 2004 STI engine is still bulletproof in my opinion.
I ran mine at just over 400 for a couple of years and used it as my daily driver with no issues at all and there are a lot of others doing them same.

On top of our good friend JD's car, we have built 3 other 04/05 stock motor Sti's all which produced in excess of 400hp on pump fuel and 450+ on 10% meth.
An example.

Just re-visiting.....
My engines suggested problems aren't a result of running higher power, the turbo was a kill or cure mod
The problem arose from an fpr hose failure whilst running a mere 340 bhp.
dunx
P.S. 2.1 being saved for, progress soon !

I'm trying to get my butt in gear to add some more horses to the car.
I'm going to be adding some of Lateral Performance injectors soon.
I'm still going to keep the STi TMIC also on my standard 2.0lrt engine. Perrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrph.
