To be honest I think we could get 560-580bhp if the car was mapped up as much as possible, but as I'm not a speed merchant and this is my last big modification I prefer to keep things very safe,so 520bhp would suit me fine.

These latest mods were GT3076R
K/N Filter
bosch motorsport fuel pump
Parallel fuel rails
Spec C manifold
RCMs latest twisted kit with external wastgate
Tial dump valve fitted into the intercooler pipework.
Air injector kit

You are very right my friend, but Matt Clark always seems to read people well and gives them what he feels is right,as you know he built Skullfuges P1 and that is, I'm sure cranked up more than mine will be and as Matt is a good friend I've always left things to his judgement,Between him and Dave Rowe they will set things where they feel is right for me.

Its a 2 litre, the original block was bored out very slightly as the standard pistons are a very tight fit ,Matt then fitted Arrow Rods,Omega Pistons,sti9 bearings, ported and polished heads,RCM stainless steel exhaust,Motec ECU,WRC valves,AP clutch, lightweight flywheel,AP Brakes all round, carbon propshaft, EXE-TC suspension, sti lateral and trailing links, rose jointed bushes in wishbones and sti track-rods and bottom ball joints and RCMs geometry set-up,lightweight pulleys, lightweight battery,APS front mount painted black.
All this was done 5 years ago,the twisted set-up is something we have been waiting for,now that is done the car is pretty much complete.
We may change the suspension for Ohlins as I know they are going to be making suspension for subarus and its very nice kit.

I think I am in the 400 club, but it hasn't been RR, so I have to go on 1/4 mile figure, turbo MD321T and boost of 1.5 bar

With a T it should be over 400

Chunkb, all that power on a 2.0l?

What's the lag like?

Manageable on the road?

I haven't got exact figures i'll have to get it into a rolling road at some point.
But it was sold as 400bhp by Litchfields so it works for me.

Whats the spec Matty? Loving that engine bay

Also, what will a standard classic Sti handle power wise, or is it limited by the box more than the engine?

Difficult to say what a safe power is chap, personally I wouldn't want to push a standard classic engine much beyond 320bhp. I have heard of many running much more than that without issue but for how long I don't know. There's so many factors to consider when pushing an engine, my buddy had one let go at 305 for instance.
Box wise, well that could have a thread all on its own. Again I've seen many **** themselves at low power, 300 for example but then I know of some making well over 400 and using standard 5 speed. I'm on a P1 box at the min and so far so good, my saving grace is I don't do many miles and I do drive with a bit of mechanical sympathy. Don't get me wrong, car gets driven hard every time I use it but driven with respect.

Spec, basically it's a 2005 spec C short motor, Motec management, HKS front mount, 550's with FRP, AF TD05 20G with a splash of meth.

Jesus, that is a nice figure! I didn't realise the SC42 could produce those numbers. Have you a graph, where does power come in and where do you get peak power?

Sadly not. Only 25 due to the extra weight of the wood.

Plastic ones spool better
