Hope all goes well for Lilly.
Our Chi had 3 pups 15 days ago. My GF was fantastic with the birth. She helped The last pup as the sack was doubled and mum couldn't lick through it! She had to cut all the cords too.
These make the best pets. Our boy is a typical chihuahua and I swear he has a death wish as he'll leap at the biggest dogs without hesitation. He will kill a dog one day - maybe get stuck in it's throat
Good luck

The pups are all fine, and mum too It was her first litter, and although we were very worried the vet assured us a natural birth was going to be fine - but we had the vet on standby just incase !
Costing a fortune now as we've been keeping her on a fresh meat (with dry food) and lactol milk diet to keep her weight up!
Will of course be following the thread. Get pics up as soon as you can

I have spent a small fortune this last couple of weeks then i have my daughters birthday and my holiday booked for this month, i have never been so skint.
I have bought a whelping box and heat pad and 3 scans and an xray. I even bought some resuscitation drops for the pups if they are not breathing. The vet tried to see me some for £17 but i got them for £10. He pays more than i did
I have been waiting since Friday to get the xray emailed to me but tonight i had a call telling me i can drive 7 miles to pick it up as the vet is too busy to upload it
keep watching

My bro found a Chi as a kid, brought it home, didnt know what it was, deformed cat, Dog Gremlin, long haired brown male, he got called Nipper, with good reason, he was a ladies man, couldnt do with blokes touching him, we assumed he was homophobic, saying "Gerrof a me you f*ckin homo puffs" when blokes went to stroke him, but he always got the Lipstick out for his bitches, like a little hairy pimp, was dead funny, used to reach around when a lady had him and stroke him, you were ok until he realised and then he would go for you big style. Him and the cat used to lie in front of the fire and sometimes forgot to maintain separation and then accidentally touch and it was like in Planes Trains and Automobiles when John Candy and Steve Martin wake up embracing and talk about football and manly things.
They might look funny but they are all dog, sometimes much more dog than the bigger varieties, plus lads, ok with one you may look a bit gay but can you imagine how many chicks would stop to give your Chihuahua a stroke, its the ultimate ladies mans dog, like everyone assumes if you have a TT you are gay but loads of chicks love the slinky coupe with leather interior, Scoobs and big scary dogs just attract other blokes who want to talk about cocklinks and having to walk 20 miles a day in case its not knackered enough and eats the house.
All the best on your imminent happy event

you could only get away with it with a Chihuahua
Things are definitely beginning to stir as she has been digging in her whelping box all night. I am scared to tough her because of all the static
she looks like a piglet now

She is having trouble getting in and out of her crate as the opening is about 3" high. Her belly stops her getting in so i haver to help her
She has had more than 10 wee's in the last 30 minutes so i think the pups are moving down. I will have the xray of her pups in a bit

She is in the second stage of labour. the contractions are about every minute and lasting as long.
She is dog napping in between
I will take puppy pics as they arrive, shouldnt be long now, maybe a couple of hours maybe sooner. This is so exciting
She is in a bit of pain now
