I offered the guy £3k cash and would have collected asap but he wouldn't let it go for that !
I'm sure somebody will take it eventually but theres the hassle of transporting it etc to consider aswell.

No the car does not drive OBVIOUSLY as it has a blown head gasket... it will probably turn over but why risk warping the head more than it may already have been warped!?

I think this man deserves an answer. Not nice when this happens I always believed that if you accept a deposit it was a contract of sale. Yellowevo is right to be upset if ferries have been booked as they are not refundable.
