Oh come on, would you rather he (Griffin) was censured and not heard, giving him more cred with the hard of thinking? most (or at least enough) people are smart enough to spot a nutter or party of nutters, really they are, if not we would not have question time because we would be far left or right wing controlled by now with even less freedom of speech that we already have.

Oh ye of little faith

Tenner to a charity of your choice should I lose if you're closer (as judged by the SN massiv!) and vice versa of course!

What say you?

Good point Paul. Censure can only cause harm in my opinion. We need to hear Nick Griffin speak. The jeering and booing will show up his opponents as boorish idiots and leave him with a lot of credibility. Civilised, intelligent debate is needed and that will show if Nick Griffin is to be taken seriously. His abhorrence for non white people has been revealed on many an occasion, the reason the BNP is gaining popularity is because the populus is feeling disaffected, let down and down trodden by the idiots at Westminster.

We will see - I am confident that a fair cross section of the British public are overall dumb enough to fall for him, but of course the good old BBC may fill the studio with the looney left

Me too! Worth the license fee for tonight alone. Next week Jacqui Smith is on and I can't wait to hear her explanation for de-fauding the tax payer and getting away with it

Hain initially threw his toys out and refused to go on with Griffin, stating that Griffinn should not be allowed on QT. Lets see if Hain is up to taking Griffin on and putting foot to a$$ when it comes to QT!

Hain appears to be a lying, cheating, violent scumbag given his past performances and the PM expenses, ironically not that much between him and some of Griffins cohorts then!

Funny you forget to mention he fled South Africa after his terrorist friend blew up a load of people

Not to mention the guy screwed the taxpayer out of a £103k, i'd expect him to be the last person taking the moral high ground.

http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/UK-..._Question_Time

Nick griffin has stated he will not attend if his safety is not guaranteed.

Nothing like freedom of speech.

Latest news is that he is in the building, despite the unlawful attempts of the violent anti-democratic left wing demonstrators to prevent it.

Wouldn't surprise me if this wasn't a prelude for the BBC to justifying featuring other extremist political groups on questiontime in the future.
I mean, i think it might be entertaining listening what our own home grown "nutter" has to say because he's likely to bring up issues that everyone i have spoken to recently wants answers on.
But i wouldn't be interested if the BBC featured some imported islamic extremist in the future, i would just switch channels and watch something more highbrow like babestation.

He appealed against the conviction in 1973. The Court of Appeal dismissed his appeal with costs. As reported in the Daily Telegraph of 23 October 1973, the court said his conviction was "fully justified". Lord Justice Roskill said Hain had not elected to give evidence, adding that "He gave no explanation of his part over the incidents with which he was charged." ..."

He used to be in the liberals but decided to change his mind. Obviously thought he'd be in with more of a shout of power with Labour ....

Oh, and resigning because of electoral donations issues! "... Peter Hain released a statement saying that, being busy with his government jobs, it was simply forgotten about, and said it was absurd to think any misconduct took place, and that he would pay back £25,000 of the money ..."

Yeah right Peter. Sorry, but he's one of the most odious of Labour's current crop!

Dave
No one doubts the negatives that you mentioned, but as usual you choose not to present the full and balanced picture.

Hain was jailed in South Africa framed by the SA government and he was a leading anti-apatheid campaigner

Does the job of 'moderator' include presenting a willfully slanted and one-sided set of opinions (dressed up as facts). Shouldn't a moderator be...i don't know...moderate maybe?

I'll be watching this with interest tonight. Saw the Nick Griffin guy on a repeat of the channel4 news interview the other night on youtube, and it was the first time I'd seen him speak and he actually came across very well, much to my surprise. Up until then I'd only been force-fed an opinion of the guy from the BBC website etc, so was expecting some short temptered ranting and raging nutter, but he kept his cool and answered the questions cleverly. He shot the Tory guy (who turned out to be Lord something or other) down in flames early on.

YouTube - Nick Griffin - Channel 4 Interview

Interesting the Guardian reading looney-left in my office are so up in arms about the fact that he might not be allowed free speech, that they almost sound like they have sympathy for the guy based on the discussions in the office today!
