Scooby Shoot Out has always been at Elvington ever since we created it in 2003, and has included a drag strip and handling circuit. It is still at Elvington on the 20th September this year.
It is NOT Scoobysprint/Scoobylive/Scoobyfest, which is shown in the banner at the top of the forum.

Guys
To clear it all up.
ScoobyLive / Scooby Sprint Final (the big event that is usually at Elvington) is at Manby this year.
ScoobyLive used to contain the ScoobyLive Handling Circuit, and Scooby Shootout which was a 1/4 mile drag race before Shaun and I got involved.
When Shaun offered to support the Shootout, he added traders, club zones, the handling circuit, and approx an extra 1000 spectators, taking it from a very small, but great fun event, into what we now know and love as being the annual event we call ScoobyLive.
ScoobyLive is still running and has had to move due to last minute changes made by straightliners which would have meant that our competitors would have had way less track time than they had expected / paid for, and would have been short changed due to all sorts of cash on the day offers being made.
In addition to this, there are threads across the net showing that people are expecting to run non-subarus, as it seems like it has been offered to all comers.
ScoobyLive will still be the biggest subaru event of the year. Tickets have been on sale for about an hour, and we've sold about 40 already. We are offering the first 750 tickets sold online for £7.50, as oposed to the £10 you pay on the gate.
Entries at £50.
Some YouTube videos to give you an idea of what will be happening on the day :
YouTube - ScoobySprint's Channel
We're looking forward to seeing you, but if you want to go to the elvington event instead, we hope you have a great day, but just be aware that it will NOT be the official ScoobyNet national day, that we've run for the last 4 years.
We hope to see you there, but we wish you a great day, wherever you go.
Cheers
Simon

They are two seperate events, despite what looks like a lot of PR to the contrary by Scoobylive or whoever they are.
The event run by Straightliners for the past 6 years or so is still happening at Elvington as planned. But shortly Simon will come along to tell you how it's not quite like that or something.

Just to let you guys know, while you're taking pot shots at me ..
I have heard from a number of people that Trevor is saying he wants to sort things out with me, but he's saying that I don't want to.
So, as this was the first I knew of this, I've just called him to see if he has a solution to enable us to run the original event that was always agreed (in writing for four years), to the same terms, as agreed and as advertised all year.
I am completely happy to run the event I now have organised, but I have offered this olive branch, just to see if there is a way forward.
It would mean reverting everything back to before the announcements his team (by way of Dave Laxton) made without consultation with me or any of the paid entries.
He initially offered a "solution" which was not acceptable as it meant still ruining the day for the people who have paid up, by making them have time slots that they would be allowed to run on.
I am being 100% open with everyone here, as I have all along. I have been honest at every point, and not a single thing I have said has NOT come true. So I'd humbly request that those who seem to always like to just post nasty mindless attacks on me, just take a step back and use their own intelligence to see the wood for the trees.
I am making a last minute attempt to salvage our AGREED and ADVERTISED event, that was only changed when straightliners posted up details of a competing event on the same day at the same venue, and using the same facilities, but for less money, and only if you paid trevor cash on the day. These are purely the facts that EVERYONE knows.
It is 100% proven, how the event has run for the last 4 years.
It is 100% proven, how it has been advertised, and sold during this year.
It is 100% proven, that I didn't make any announcement or suggestion of change to our agreement until after straighliners made changes (proven that they were changes) to this format, and EVEN THEN, I repeatedly said "I'm sure its a mistake, just everyone hold off entering until we get to the bottom of it".
Its 100% proven that I waited nearly 2 days of trying to get an answer out of Trevor, before I announced that we would move venue.
These are just the proven things.
Anyone should be able to read that with a clear head and realise that I am just trying to make this work for everyone.
Now this last ditch attempt, even after I've committed in the region of a further £5,000 to getting this new event up and running, I am open to suggestions.
I am going on record as having done this, so there is no argument later about it.
Its a terrible shame its come to this. But I am doing everything I can to make sure that everyone has a great day.

right, can someone clarify this please,
Manby = handling circuit ?
Elvington = handling circuit, drag strip and top speed ?
will both have traders stands for me to spend loads of money ?
will both be SUBARU ONLY events ?
if not then will they be over-run by chavs in 1.0 litre corsas that weigh a ton with all the **** they put on them ?
sorry but i want my ONLY weekend off to be a good one, and whichever I decide to go to its too far to turn around and go to the other, if you get me ?
cheers for the help, nick

Hi Nick
Sorry about the confusion.
The following thread suggests that non-subarus are invited to the elvington event.
Drag racing @ Elvington York on the 20th September - Mitsubishi Lancer Register Forum
Trev told me on the phone this is not the case, so you'll have to make your own judgement I'm afraid.
For my part, I promise Manby is 100% Subaru. But yes, we currently only have the Handling circuit, but we also have a lot of other attractions like Colin McRae's Legacy and Richard Burns' WRC Impreza from Prodrive Museum.
We're also arranging rally driver passenger rides on the dirt rally stage at Manby, and there will be traders, club parking, etc.
I cannot speak for Elvington, as I just don't know for sure, and there is a lot of conflicting information on the net about it.
Whichever you decide to do, I really hope you have a great day.
