Some versions of the F1 are as cheap as £295 but I didn't really like the look of them.
I really like the monaco though. I only want a fake one cos its cheap. I don't care if it only lasts a year or doesn't look perfect etc.
In later life I'm sure I'll buy a proper watch as I am really into them but I'm about to move out, get married and buy a new car so they are not exactly high on my priorities right now.

Thats a fair comment. If you buy it expecting it to last a year then you wont be disappointed if it breaks.
Wife, house and car are more important than watches, you will have time to pimp your wrist in a few years.

Most of the rubbish sites are infact the same vendor, they open and close and move around at will. Until you try and send some of their rubbish back, you wont realise how bad they are.

Nat once posted 30 odd sites that were infact the same person.

PS. Dont buy from any of the above, most of the photos are from actual brochures and not the watch you will get.

A couple of quotes....

Case back has most of marking from original.

Made from corrosive resistant steel plate.

Not water resist.

Similar weight to original.

Steer clear, unless you want cracker fillings for the Xmas table.

Ok! The christmas stocking fillers are here!

First the pics:

Only the monaco is mine and I think I got the bum deal. Its the worst one for quality but its not too bad. The thing is I ordered one with black dials not silver! Still the watch itself doesn't look too bad until you look at the real ones.

The Carerra definitely looks the best. I haven't compared it to the original but it looks really nice and the quality seems good.
The breitling also looks fairly good but again I haven't compared to the original but I know it won't be anywhere near exact. The quality looks fairly good and it feels a nice weight etc.
So I am a little disappointed that I didn't choose one of the other models but nevermind. I'm still fairly happy with the monaco.

Now we will have to see how long they last!!

I dont think you got the worst deal.

The Breitling doesnt resemble any Breitling ever made, so cant even be called a replica.
The bracelet is nickle plate, much greeness will ensue.

At least the Tag loosely resembles the Tag its trying to copy, well its rectangular anyway..and you have the leatherette band, so your wrist wont be going green.

Good luck.

Thanks

The site I used was www.newshopping2u.com but its been taken down now. I think the same retailer has many other sites though.

If I was you I'd try www.allofwatches.com because they actually show you the pictures of the fakes.

I don't think I'll be buying any more though. I'll just stick to cheaper real watches like Fossil.

Default Some fake watch experiences in NYC

Hi gang. I'm located in the USA. New York City, to be exact. For years I just walked by all the Chinatown sellers of fake stuff, not having any interest. However, recently my Bulova watch died after many many years of good service and I was not having an easy time finding something to match its style for the price I paid.

Then I ran into a friend of mine who was wearing a really nice Breitling Bentley. I was amazed he could afford one, as i knew the model he had on was nearly 15 grand. Turned out it was a fake. He paid $45 for it. On close inspection you could see it wasn't genuine, but to any casual observer it looked amazing. Mostly due to the unique look of the exposed internal workings.

I snagged two in Chinatown a week ago, each for $45. One is for myself and the other I will give to my brother in-law. A friend of mine owns the real one and pointed out everything is a mix of different Breitling models, so the fake is a hybrid of sorts and won't stay pristine forever, as it is NOT stainless steel. It has a razor thin nickel plating over a much softer metal.

For $45, it's a good deal. These keep good time, despite the side dials being just for show. That's right, they don't work. Only the date works, but even it's weird, having 39 day rotations. 39 days in a month? Interesting.

The pins holding the band to the watch are not the best. I had to have mine replaced at a cost of $10 or they would just pop out of their own accord.

Some jackos in Chinatown (NYC) try to sell these to people for $125 to $200 and these exact same fakes are advertised online for anywhere from $100 to $300 U.S. dollars. Anyone paying those prices needs to have their heads examined.

Some pics...

I also saw a number of other fakes, including a Patek Phillipe Geneve. That model is a gorgeous watch and the fake is quite nice, though clearly a fake to anyone who knows the watch because the white part of the face has no ridges. Still, the quality of this fake is high and unlike the Breitling, all the dials work.

$45, after much haggling.

In the end, these fakes only make me want the real thing all the more. Wearing what looks to be expensive watches has actually turned me into a guy who never cared for expensive wrist pieces, to a guy who wants to make the kind of money to wear such devices.

My best friend has 150k worth of watches, including two that are valued at over 25k (U.S.) each. Now I know why he buys such time pieces.

LOL! Yes, it's burning your own money if you are paying those prices. Me, I paid $45 for my Breitling ripoff and love it. People who see it love it. So it was worth the $$$. But I would not have gone over $50 on an item with no warranty. That would have been stupid.

Was just down on Canal Street in Chinatown and it was packed with the Nigerian and Chinese sellers of fake handbags and watches. Today is a holiday, so tourists were everywhere and it wasn't long before the cops busted a few people. Funny thing was, as they were hauling away suitcases full of fake bags and watches, right there in a little storefront were dozens of fake watches ranging from ripoff Omegas to bad Rolex ripoffs. The little shops rarely get bothered because they mix in the fakes with the Armitrons and other low cost watches.

Just as amazing is that half a block away, the Nigerian and Chinese sellers simply zipped up their suitcases full of contraband until they felt the cops had their fill. Once they say the police cruiser was too full to add more stuff, they went back to selling their goods, right there in the open.

How 'bout a pic of the cops carting away the contraband (they had to use rope to tie those huge suitcases in place and keep the trunk cover on top. A chinese couple was arrested, handcuffed and placed into the rear seats.)?
