Yeah I'm there. I have never been to Snett so want to learn it. I have learnt all the tracks (except Oulton) on the day of each TA round, so hope to be able to start this one in a better position.

You are welcome to come for a passenger ride if you like. I will be driving round anyway. So as long as Simon (Chevron) doesn't mind then you are welcome to come out. Probably best mid morning time when I am still learning, so it doesn't add weight in the afternoon when we set the car up after I know more or less where I am going.

as i have said before, power is only one of the ingredients we need,
in my opinion, £2000 spent on driver training would get you more gains than £2000 spent on your car, you obviously need reasonable power and a good set up aswel

I'm only messing with you

John Felstead has been helping me out with pointers. The problem I had was the transition from racing bikes to cars. We are both doing scooby sprint on Sunday so I am hoping he won't show me up too much!

I didn't know there were two events. Whats the difference? I thought it was just a sprint run as per the other rounds?

this is what is happening as far as i am aware

ScoobyLive - Scooby Shootout - Scooby Sprint Final - 20 September - back at Elvington

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well what a fun few days!!

This is a note to say that Trevor and I have got together, bashed our heads together, and had a big hug in order to sort this out, as it is both our priorities to ensure that the event goes ahead for everyone. It is clear that this was all caused over one or two misunderstandings on both sides, and a few busy bodies winding the various parties up. This is all now resolved.

We have agreed to revert back to our original agreement, as near as is possible while considering what is best for everyone following the plans competitors and spectators have made over the last few days of uncertainty. So, this is what we've agreed, which means some of the things which have been released by both parties over the previous few days will become null and void, and we both apologise for any inconvenience caused by this misunderstanding.

There are two ways to enter this year's ScoobyLive. 1) as a Scooby Shootout competitor, and 2) as a Scooby Sprint competitor.

Scooby Shootout Competitors
Entries to the drag strip are unlimited in numbers.
This will give you full access to the 1/4 mile drag strip, and also to a new exciting addition of a 1km run!
After 3:00pm, you will also get limited access to the handling circuit on a first come first served basis, with Scooby Sprint competitors taking priority.
Entries for the Scooby Shootout through Straightliners or paid to Straightliners on the day.

Scooby Sprint Competitors
Entries are limited to 45. You will get the usual, full access to the sprint circuit.
After 3:00pm will get limited use of the drag strip on a first come first server basis, with Scooby Shootout competitors taking priority.
Entries for the Scooby Sprint through ScoobySprint.com or paid to ScoobySprint on the day.

-

We have done it this way to ensure everyone gets the most of what they really want.

-

Entry to both disciplines is £50, which also gives one person free entry at the gate if you pay in advance. £10 on the gate is additional if you pay for entry on the day.

Scooby Sprint registered Championship Entries, also get an additional person free on the gate.

-

The Scooby Sprint will be timed using the WRC Timing System test as planned.

-

ONLY SUBARUS CAN COMPETE IN ANY DISCIPLINE ON THE DAY. The only exception is the inclusion of a new twist "Judgement Day", where we will allow a special treat of 10 Evos, competing on the drag strip at a specific time - to be announced - against the fastest of the Subarus. Entries for this portion of the competition are through Straightliners, and we would be absolutely delighted to have them for the "grudge match from hell"!! If time allows the EVOs will also be more than welcome to try their hand at the handling circuit after 3:00pm as a bonus, as long as all Championship entries have completed their runs.

-

All club parking allocations and trade stand reservations to go through simon@scoobysprint.com to ensure there are no mixups on the day with multiple bookings for the same space.

-

The only activities happening on the day, are the SSO (1/4 mile and 1km), the "Judgement Day" feature, and the Scooby Sprint Championship final.

-

Only Subarus will be allowed in the main parking area near the handling circuit, and spaces will be allocated by ScoobySprint.

-

Paddocks for the SSO will be in the area behind the start line of the drag strip.
Paddocks for Scooby Sprint will be in the usual place against the railings lining the handling circuit.

-

Straighliners will open the Scooby Sprint circuit at exactly 10:30 (the earliest possible time due to noise restrictions). Noise testing will be from 9:30 onwards. Drivers' briefing at exactly 10:00am.

-

The venue will be Elvington, and the date is 20th September.

-

Finally, both trevor and I would like to apologise to everyone again for any inconvenience or agro! We're both really excited now that we have the great event back up and running, and we look forward to us all getting together and having a great laugh and some competition on both disciplines on the 20th. Good luck to everyone, and have fun!

Simon, and Trevor.

Oh. I'm just doing the sprint track. Don't really want to do the launches but spose I have to. My clutch is a little severe to say the least!

See you both there then. I fully expect to be at the back of the pro guys, you guys have some serious kit, but I'll do my best.

Andy/JB,
I have driven all events, but can't drive for ****!

Richard Bulmer also drove the car at Round 3 and came 4th in the qualifiers to get the car in the shootout final.

Some major changes were then made to the handling set-up.

Simon de Banke also drove the car at Round 4. Simon came joint 3rd in the qualifiers and then won the shootout final coming 1st (out of the quickest five overall).

Should be a good final.

I'm just hoping to have some fun. I think John Felsteads going to throw mine about too, so I hope he isn't too much faster than me.

I feel it today after the last week at work, did a 20 hour session yesterday and have a serious problem with my back and neck at the moment, I've trapped a nerve or ripped the muscle. So it will be a bonus if i can steer come Sunday, never mind kick some ****.

If i don't stuff Shaun i really am in dire straights, he really is that ****.
