Andy,
I have driven each round of ScoobySprint this year.
I have driven at TOTB.
I have driven at TunerGP.
I have driven at Time Attack.
Nowt wrong with me giving the keys to someone else who is far better behind the wheel.... if only to see what the car is actually capable of, every now and then. Richard Bulmer drove it this year because his own car was not ready and I am part of his constructors team. Simon had a punt because I could see he was itching to have a go and I had already done all my runs. I do this for the car as well as for myself.

Pity, it's only open to cars designed and built by Subaru.

Bad news indeed. I saw you driving off before I got a chance in the day to come say hi. Sorry I didn't come over to say hi to you either Duncan. It was a good event, can't believe how fast some of those 1/4 mile cars are, some are almost as fast as bikes

Good luck with getting it ready Andy.
The yellow thing ran 2.3 bar on the strip all day long, didn't do loads of runs mind, but you get the picture.

Andy in my eyes has been very mis lead about his engine and it has cost him alot of time and money through no fault of his own.....
it will be right this time.

i dont realy want to make a topic about my engine failure, its just not worth it, it will only turn into a slanging match between chy lovers and chy failures.
thats why i have made my decision to delete chy out of the equasion regarding my car, as he has been the ONLY problem on my car from day 1.

No worries Andy.
It's a shame as Chy has tried some interesting things that should work well, not going into any political angles, but I am interested to know where the problems with his methods lie. I have a few similar things on the go in terms of liners, but it's a case of test, strip and inspect.
I have seen good results from an EJ257 block, EJ257 with inserts, but then I've seen cracked blocks too, but whose to say those cracks were down to a problem brought about by mapping. So you're back to looking at a CDB of some sort, the EJ22 is a natural choice, but you never know your luck at high power.
There is no easy way to do it, the cosworth 2.5 CDB would have been mustard had it ever arrived, but it's shelved for now as far as I know, as the development cost is just too big, given the risk of not selling loads.
Good luck with the new build.

dont know mate, just guessing a bit, the torque settings on studs were not all the same.

Andy, again i dont want to get into any politics, but do you know what the torque settings were on which studs, as the two centre studs are usually at a higher torque level than the outer 4.

no problems Andy, was just picking up on your comments of wrong material for studs and different torque settings.
The RCMS studs are incredible quality, and the best material for the job i believe, and once torqued up as per procedure, they torque settings are quite high.
Agree though, that these shouldn affect a liner dropping.
