I have been using tesco 99... i wonder lol.

I actually put tesco 95 in tonight because all the 99 had run out and it ran exactly the same all night (perfectly, apart from when i started up of corse)

I'll run this stuff out and see if i get a difference with v power, i'd love it to be something this simple.

day 4 on optimax, still working pefect every time. flicks straight upto 2000ish rpm.
fingers crosed.

I'm pleased for ya, hope it keeps it up.

I also have some possible good news, it started first time this evening from cold

Lets see what tomorrow brings........

I think so, well 3 cold starts since putting 95 in each time its fired up perfectly first time.

So the question is now, what the hell is wrong with tesco 99!

There was that 'crisis' 2 or 3 years back when Tesco 99 caused ECU's to fail. But, if memory serves, I think it was just an isolated batch of really stale fuel supplied and distributed nationwide, or something (which, of course, could happen to any brand).

I hope the issue is not rearing its head again

my car is still running perfect on v power, im on my second tank now.
looks like im gonna give tesco a miss for a bit.
thing is i had been using it for yonks with no problems and then had run 3 or more tanks with the problem.

Very strange it seems, i know i wont be going back to tesco 99 after this though.

Yeah, just stick to V-Power and be done with it. No known running issues with this fuel in Scoobies AFAIK.

I don't use Tesco 99 - and never will after that problem mentioned above.
