Right, decision made 
Its not going on.
My very first reaction to it was:
A) Too many STi logos (I'm surprised only Flaps picked up on that actually), and
B) As I'm going down the black route (black headlight mod, black 18's etc) shiny silver bits wont really work.
I don't think you can go wrong with first impression/gut feeling etc so...
