I've got the same size rubber covered buttons on my keys's Ty, left one is Open..other one Lock. As I said, I have to use the alarm fob to gain entry and start it - do you hear the "Buzz" from the fuel pump when you turn on the ignition - I think that primes the system ? Should show if your fuel pump is going ??

Sorry Ty - I hate to see a good Bug go down !! - when I had low batt issues I used to get all sorts of lights on and sometimes the dash looked norm, but not enough juice to crank it over. With the Immob - it's prob got an aftermarket one as JDM's didn't have one as standard fit- so I guess there will be no "key pad" in the car either (for reset). If I open my doors with the Sub keys ("Open/Close") it doesn't overide the alarm and the car won't start although I'm in it - it will only go if I use the alarms' supplied fob.
I also noticed that the interior light is not working and may have been in the permanent on position meaning that it may have drained the battery but as I had no torch with me I will have to check on that in the morning.
The car has one of those slimline racing batteries fitted, which might mean that it may well not hold enough charge to start the car if something auxillary has been left on.

She's been in storage for a while and the lightweight batteries can soon die without regualar use. Let me know and it'll be sorted at once, she's too unused and perfect to have any problems
Dave.

I am wrong and they are not HID's
the poxy car will not even start at the moment and I am f*cking cheesed off to the extreme at the moment.
I have only taken it back from Blackwood on Tuesday, and then took it out for a 5 mile drive last night and went to start it earlier and it is as dead as a Dodo.

It's the best way Ty, Glen will tell you that.
You will need to get larger connectors fitted on the cables as the poles on the larger battery are a different size, I would see if you can get them fited by the place that fits your battery.
Another ideal one for you is a C-Tek charger, they are designed to be left on for 365 days a year I use one on mine through the winter plus on and off during the summer if the car does not get used.

You gotta get away from the "U" word Ty - They are "Different" and yours is "Exceptionally different" in all the best possible ways - love those "Cerise" Sti Suspension/Under carriage bits
