I'm one of the lucky ones. Daily driver at 5am on empty fen roads. Surprising how quick you can cover 28 miles

Went out in ours this morning after reading this thread yesterday. Whenever I drive the car it just reminds me why I bought it in the first place

Dont really forget how quick the RB is,just wish i could use it more than i do.
working 65 - 70 hours a week doesnt leave much time for fun.
Still at least shes all cosy in the garage when not in use.
That said its still the only car to give you that HUGE grin every time
you open her up,which is why the impreza will allways be remembered.

Do not want more power. If I really need a fix I take the hillclimb WRX which is a whole different experience.
Must be nice

My daily commuter is a Ford Ranger pickup (2WD), the scoob feels like a rocket when I get in it!

i drive mine 3 miles to work and then get in a jcb digger and cause a big traffic jam behind me all the time thinking if i was in my scoob i would rip past the digger with my finger up. once the jcb is parked up after work i find myself running back to my scoob and grinning from ear to ear as i take the long way home.

Ian,

I am not suggesting that you would have problems its just that upping the power and reducing the mpg would cost even more on fuel. I am trying to keep the scooby fairly sensible as I already spend shed loads on my Westfield for weekend fun.

No worries buddy just trying to encourage you to get more power

TBH I havn't noticed an increase in my commuting costs as I did a tank of fuel a week before and after the power increase, my commute is sat on a motorway at 70mph, doing my best to avoid temptation with the loud pedal!

Thanks Iain, you are really not helping. How can I justify a remap when the bathroom, garden and bedroom needs redoing

My mate has a 300bhp sti which gets about 17 to the gallon which would cost me a fortune but the sound of a remap is very temping.

stop it stop it stop it, must not spend more money!..... just yet
