Hi All
I agree that 15k is a bit high for this, I brought a 2006 STi PPP with 17k fulll service history on a Cat D with drivers side damage, rear quater and suspension damage 12 months ago for £4500.
My husband repaired it for £1000 parts only and his time which wasnt priced because it was done in his spare time, as he restores classic Aston Martin's and jaguar XK's im sure this would have cost a lot, but he loves me lol.
I then had a very bad day and wrote it off, the insurance company paid out and I brought the car back for £3200.
We decided this time we would repair the car to how we wanted it, so we purchased a replica WRC kit from Accolade. The car has been spayed this weekend andwill be stickered up in a couple of weeks, I will be posting a thread on this site with pics very soon.

hi guys ive just been to see the car its really tidy and not as damaged as it looks the insureance company payed out £26,000 for it, They can get the parts for £850 and ive had a quote for the repair for £1600 and ive had a word with them and theyll do it for £13,000 so for a total of £15,450 i think its quite good
I've seen the car as well ( as I live near by) and the car is damaged as bad as it looks and more. Rear wheel drive shaft and suspension is bent incl sway bar, CV joint is grinding on the frame and diff looks suspicious as well. Boot floor is ripped apart and not just bent. All rear seats trims and stuff it;s been taken off as well. Whole car is full of scratches from minor to deep ones.
They won't get the parts for you but they can give you details of places you can get them from, which in real world means nothing.
I would never pass this car to someone who would do it for £1600 as F**ked job usually cost more to do again plus there would be another layer of paint already.
And who will pay me for my time and effort if I would by this car.
So if you really want then buy this car for 13K and make them a late Christmas gift as this car is still for sale...
Regards.

how much did the insurance pay out then??
because the car is already a cat D and has had a pay out the next claim would be a small percentage of value.

This is worth 6-7k tops as it is on a insurance write-off cat D and looks like it needs a couple of grand just to get a half a decent repair job and is only worth somebody buying it to keep for a while as it will be a struggle to sell on for only 10k at the most. Anyway good luck with the sale mate
