That's all you need when you're trying to sell - I'm sure someone will snap it up mate, it's a beaut

Not really a massive 22b fan myself, mind you it's just the front bumper I can't get my head around. I'd like to see one with a P1 front end on it, but it's not something you could ever do (without killing it's value)

I think the ultimate classic would be a wide arched P1.

Dont worry,the sticker is off.
As I was driving down too Ibiza,I had too put the plack on as a precaution, because you can be stopped driving through france if you do not have an ID plaque showing.
Anyway it was one of those magnet ones.

Wow - that sure is something, not many get to do that fella

Not sure how the numbering went on the 22Bs - pretty sure there were a few specials with the 000/400 tag that went to people like the late great Colin McCrae - sure I read somewhere that there was a total of 426 22Bs made in total - someone may want to correct me?

Pinched from 22B.com

" I say initial as more than 400 were produced. A total of 426 were finally made. 3 cars are designated 000 and are owned by Colin McRae, Nicky Grist and David Lapworth, there is no number 13 and 24 cars were made for issue outside Japan. Of this 24, 16 came to the UK and were badged 22B Type UK and the other 8 went to the owners of Subaru concessions throughout the world. It is rumoured that a few of this final 8 went to private collectors, such as The Sultan of Brunei. "

Seem to remember that - as you say, gotta be the ultimate for a 22B

Very nice 22B you had there Ricky, not many UK versions still knocking about - I know Scoobyclinic in Chesterfield sold one recently.

I keep hearing talk of a 22B register but I can't find it - would be interesting to know which numbers are still with us and where

That looks like a JDM one to me. UK cars had fog-lamps in the bumper, rather than the STi covers.

As for the register, 22b.com keep it updated:

This is my 22B (now de-stickered) -

It's been extensively modified and was my daily transport for two years in which I did over 10k per year in it. It wasn't bought to be kept wrapped in a bubble but to be used.

It's most recently be given an absolute kicking at a Don Palmer driving day that I attended (and it was driven VERY hard indeed).

Have now got a 2008 STi so this has become a weekend toy - just having some corrosion dealt with then I'll get some more pics

It was supposed to have been mine. . Porsche GB had originally organised the photo shoot to have been at their Silverstone Driving Experience facility. Henry Catchpole of EVO got in touch with me at fairly short notice via a tip-off from Zen and I arranged to bring my car along.

However, at about 6.30pm on the evening before the big day, Henry called me again to say that Porsche had changed the venue to their Reading HQ (and it thereafter seems they changed it again to Goodwood!)

Anyway it was now too far from where I live in Northamptonshire to bunk off work for a whole day, so I politely declined. Thankfully my loss was someone else's gain as it seems that EVO found another car in-time for the 'shoot so the 22B got very well represented after all.

NB: my car had already been featured in EVO's December 2008 issue, so it was probably fair to give someone else's car a chance!

One appeared at a local club (Surrey) meeting just before Christmas. I don't know if the owner posts on here or not, but his car was gorgeous and I want it (as I do all 22B's!):

And I managed to sneak up behind it whilst it was driving to the meet...

..., sadly I was pipped at the post when trying to park next to it - I was hoping to get a picture of my car with a 22B!

I posted these pictures up a while ago and the owner appeared in the thread soon afterwards (annoyingly I can't find the thread now ), but hopefully it'll work again!

Altogether now:

NB: You're a lucky man g7prs - you've sat in the Holy Grail of rare Impreza's!
