You must have several guard dogs, barb wire fences, mine field and a fortified garage for an STI at 21 with that quote
Saying that, my spec c was only 700 quid but im a bit older (actually have as much driving experience as you are old )

Nice car. Insurance doesn't suprise me. Some come on here with huge premiums but when I was 22 I had a GTIR and that was £1500. Not as high value but an import, at a time when insurance companies just laughed as they slammed the phone down when you said "Its an import".
When you mod it, then they will stiff you royally.

you wait until the 306 starts going wrong, i had one for ten years and this is cheaper to maintain by a mile so far. although i do have a 300 quid repair to make on my front lip spoiler and a small dent i made in the rear passenger door demonstrating to a friend how paper thin the panels are on a scooby.
No point in locking a car like that away for the weekends, it needs to be driven .....and hard too

My cousin used to insure his cars with the young farmers. Everything from mk4 cortinas to mitsi shoguns. Don't think it matters what it is.

No mate a good friend off mine is a farmer (dairy) hes got more toys then you can shake a stick at brand new M3 a brand new army buggy about 13k worth (which you can drive off cliffs) all sorts. Some times think lucky bugger then you see how much work he has to do.
Again fairplay to you.
