I've just joined up so that I could reply to this... I post regularly on www.fiestaturbo.com forums as capriFRSTmania. And all I want to say is this:

We all agree that what MickGR did was just a little bit foolish... doing 100 in a 30 zone, especially while racing, is most definitely not clever. But the reason I didn't say 'Oi you tw@t' to him, as many other people have done, is if u read his post he did actually **** himself doing it, and I reckon the guy does regret at... well if he didn't before he certainly does now, lol! I hope I'm right... if he doesn't regret it he ain't all that bright and I hav no respect 4 him at all if that is the case... but I do think that he's learned from the experience and damn well won't b doin it again in a hurry ;-)

I also want to say this: don't reckon on all of FT.com bein tw@ts cos of this. Many people backed him up, yes, but that doesn't mean to say that we would all go around doing that sort of thing. Certainly if you read some of the other posts in other topics, many members don't even drive their cars fast because they've spent so much time workin on them that they don't want to mess 'em up in a crash! And for others, driving their cars hard is left on the track and the strip, not on the open road. Note also, for what it's worth, that although he owns a Fiesta, the guy was actually driving a Calibra at the time.

And finally, fiestaturbo.com is a fantastic website and the webmaster has put a hell of a lot of work into it... for anybody who needs advice or wants to buy stuff for their Fiesta it really can't be beat. So please don't knock the site itself or its content. It's a damn good site and forum.

Now can we PLEASE leave this thing alone?! We've heard enough about it on our forum, it's caused a hell of a lot of friction, it's tedious every time u log on to find more stuff about this post, it really is getting stupid. Everybody's had their say now, can we just clear the decks and get our forum back to the way it was!
