I see your zetec and raise you a go faster stripe and a Ghia badge that barely covers the popular plus sticker on the boot! NOICE!!!

so in summary don't bother reporting because a) it's possible that nothing might be done or b) it will make you a snitch. c)the driver may possibly have a good reason to drive like a bellend.
a few people in this world will make a difference, some will try to make a difference, the rest are afraid to.

Arent we a country full of grasses now ! I cant understand these type of drivers who feel the need to self police.
For example, You over take a guy in front who's doing 35 in a 50, he then flashes his lights at you, why ?
Or the motorway **** that stays in the fast lane at bang on 70, he wont move over, so you under take him, then then chases you flashing his lights ? why ?
The way I see it, I havent effected thier driving / life, he's still doing 70, or 35, all Ive done is overtaken him, so why the big hassle.
I often over take people, speed alone etc etc. Im not dangerous, I dont drive fast outside schools, or built up areas, and I drive within my abilities. I was following a Ford Ka on Saturday, doing 35 in a 40, then did 40 in a 30 ? Where's the sense over that ? When I over took her, she was up my ****, flashing, etc etc. ??
I often see this in the morning driving to work. The usual ****, following etc other at 40 mph in a 50, 3 or 4 cars just following like ducklings, so I over take them all, and suddenly Im the `dangerous` driver ? Why ? I havent caused anyone to swerve, or crash, Ive just used my `human rights` to over take, like they've done to drive at 40 mph. yes I may of broken the speed limit, but thats my decision, so why does it effect them ?
This is the same when people queue when a dual carriage way goes into one lane. All the slow lane people queue up and leave the fast lane empty. So, I drive down the fast lane and suddenly a self police *** pulls out half way and stops me. I see this as a real pi55 take. He's used his human rights to go on the left, but is now refusing me to use the right lane. So, his choice is far more important than mine. He's now stopping me / my human rights, but Im seen as the '****`. He could of gone down the right lane, but choose not too, so why stop me ?
So, for this dangerous driving example, you should of just let the guy over take and let him get on with his driving. All this taking numbers, reporting to the police, what a load of effort for nothing. He probabvly drove more like a fool, just to over take, or get out the way of others.
At the end of the day, just get out of my way when Im driving :-)

You can try it but you won't get anywhere without some kind of positive evidence and/or an independent witness. Since there was no crash or damage involved the coppers won't bother.

And you forgot to mention all the dipsh*ts who don't know what lane to be in at roundabout's & cut you up (then give you the finger for flashing them or honking at them when they nearley side swipe you!), people who don't indicate etc etc etc. Roads are a nightmare most of the time honestly.

I really dislike people who driver 40 everywhere too, even when NSL applies! Nor do I have a problem will pulling over if someone wants to get somewhere faster than me, but this guy was a different story altogether. It's not a question of IF he causes a pile up, it's WHEN! At the time, maybe high on sniffing my own farts, I thought that it was incumbent on me to have a word in the authorities ear in the hope they might have a word before this loon ends up on a real charge, but looks like that won't happen.
Irony in these situations is that if you try and do the "good citizen thing" you end up putting yourself in the firing line as bystanders probably just think you're driving like a **** too!
Will just control my frustration next time!

Some people go slow if they are carrying a delicate load or maybe something wrong with their car? I usually think that and just have patience before overtaking.
But yeh if the said idiot implied they were going to report me then that would be a different matter.
I can't really think that the police would do anything as I'm sure they have more important things to do....

Only example I've seen of the police doing someone based on information was where several people had all complained of one van driver on a particular road.
The video may have been posted in here, ISTR. I think about 25% of "us" (?!) were complaining that the van driving wasn't all that bad!
As a one-off (even a protracted one) which involved no collisions or injuries, ther police are unlikely to respond. If the MPVs doing it every day and several people complain then that's different.
IMO report it. If it is regular behaviour, it needs nipping in the bud before someone gets hurt.

Hi All,
What's the position if you witness some truly awful driving e.g. cutting people up, blocking an overtaking manouver, tailgaiting, trying to bully people out of the way, (generally driving like a loon in a people carrier).
Witnessed such a thing myself today and it got me so annoyed that I gave chase (admitedly not the smartest thing to do - don't worry had no intention of trying to get past him) so I could get the idiot's reg number. This I managed to do!
So now I have that, what can I do with it? I know that if the police didnt witness the conduct there isn't anything they can do with respect to a prosecution, but would they at least send the regisitered keeper of the vehicle a letter?
Any advice appreciated.
