Or tho i dont go back on the fact i think clios are girly. I can understand the point off making a wolf in sheeps clothing car.

My mate has just finished his mk4 astra van which is completly standered on outside (except Vectra and merc 4 pot combo) But its ruuning a 3l turbo lump in front and 1 in back!

Thats funny cos thats what i put on my post you donkey!!! so when your supecharger gives you power it doesnt spin up your wheels in first gear??.....must be a wee small thing then as i have friends with chargers and the power comes in fast!!!
Also about the posts thing, i am new to scoobie net but been on SIDC for years!!!
I think u need to go back to the forums were they talk about how much lube to put on your boyfriends *** before you enter it!! cause you are defo a gay boy with a gay car!! As said before i don't know why your on this forum as you clearly don't like Subaru's as all you have been doing is bumming up your wee toy car and putting everyone else that has a Subaru down!!!

If i lived near you i would come and show you how slow your car is on a straight line and any twisty road of your choice.....you would have no chance and prob end up crashing that wee shed trying to keep up!!!

Yeah it spins up a bit in first, but still launches as quick as a Maseratti 4200GT
I think you lack some understanding in how superchargers work, it's a centrifugal charger so the power graph follows the same pattern as the standard engine with just more of everything everywhere, so unlike a turbo you dont just get a wallop of power all at once. Look on Rotrex's site and educate yourself, you'll notice the one I have is easily capable of running 400bhp I'm doubting your claim about having friends though, let alone ones with chargers...

As regards these lube forums you'll have to send me a link to your favorite sites as I'm a bit out of touch with the whole scene, so again, if you can recommend a lube that would also be good. Just whatever you and your fella use would be fine

lol i had a clio there not bad cars, but theres alot more in the hairdressers car than u think. leave the guy alone he is a petrol head. the clio is a good car no denying there wudnt be so many on the road if they were so ****. Althought dude u could stop the slagin of the scoobs off not the best way to make friends. the scooby is not uncomfy in fact i find it comfier than the clio purely due to the clio's truck driving position. Its only noisy if the person in question thinks scaffolding is a good idea as an exhaust, one thing the clio will never win on thought is relaibilty.

Still either way cars are personal. if u like it have it if u dont, dont.

i loved my clio and for the city driving i do i actually miss it alot.

Its Nothing on my scooby thought, the scoob is probs as much fun. but its better on long runs Especially when carrying more that 1 passenger.

Clio is a good car thought but it isnt god. but niether is the scooby.

oh and ur supercharger may have 400bhp ability but ur clio wont ever get that high On the Standard F4R engine.

As for Superchargers there all instant power gains, it doesnt have to spool up none of them do.

but remember supercharger take 34% power to give u 50% more.

I dont take anything said personally pal, it's all banter to me, it's just fun to wind people up with the blinkers on that cant see past anything other than things they own. I've no problems with Scooby's, I've said in the past I'm a massive fan (especially the classic shape), but sometimes you just have to go fishing

I avoid long journeys in the Clio too, gives me chronic back ache due to the horrible seating position and hard non supportive seats, so we'll either just use the Williams or the Merc... or the Twingo GT (it's got boost lol)

The 400bhp is with bottom end work, not got around to doing that yet though, but it's only running half a bar restricted boost at the moment. As for the 34% power use, that's way way off the mark, Rotrex's are more efficient than most modern turbo chargers and it only uses 12% of the engine power

not run it up the strip type R chap, more interested in trackdays

charger conversions are about £3-4k I think, not sure as mine was cheaper being the first one ever done (well, first centrifugal charged Clio at least)

I guess it would most likely run a high 12 with the interior in and some practice going by fellow owners results. My friends 220bhp Williams managed a 13.1 at 109mph with ITB's and some other mods

Plenty of fwd cars running over 200bhp and handle better than scoobs just because its a fwd hatch dont write it off, with all todays modern technology going into cars, 200bhp is nothing.

Had 220bhp with ITB's for the past 4 years and that was no problem with rubbish FK silverline X coilovers People assume FWD cannot handle more than a set amount of power, but a lot of it is down to how the power is delivered

I'll let you know what its like with 360bhp though... I'm expecting to replace the fronts every month though lol

If it was purely for drag racing then the better option would be the Mk1 shell (like the Williams) and doing it to that for about the same power and torque, but you can strip them to under 800kg's. Can pick up the Ph1 172 like mine for under £2k now, so £5-6k for 260+bhp/ton.

Like you say, there are MUCH better cars for getting fast times down the 1/4 mile, mainly RWD and 4WD cars which own this territory. I charged mine for fun on the lanes and track use, which 4WD would be of no benefit to me for what I want. Still undecided on doing the bottom end, although it seems a bit pointless having a something capable of running 1.6 - 2.0 bars of boost and only using 0.5 of it...

2 bar on a supercharger never heard of any one running that kind of boost on a supercharger. but good luck and i look forward to bumping in to you some day on a nice private road lol

FWD cars are sh*te fact! My Company car is an 09 Leon Cupra 260ish bhp and if I'm driving it with a bit of spirit the TC light is on and I have to wait what seems an age before the ecu decides to take notice of throttle position. If I switch traction control off the wheels just spin everywhere. If I ease off throttle to prevent wheel spinning the car just doesnt pull.

I'd quite happily put any impreza against this Clio let alone mine on a track. Anyone of my imprezas over the last 6 years would simply waste the Clio especially when the new one is complete.

With regard to taking the p*ss out of blinkered scooby drivers, dude at the end of the day you drive a French car which by definition are average at best. As an aside what has the Clio achieved motorsport wise? The Clio cup doesn't count btw although bearing in mind that professionally prepared Clio's were lapping Snetterton in 1 minute 18 seconds in the Clio Cup which is three seconds slower than Duncan Grahams Daily driven Impreza managed a couple of weeks ago.

I think if anyone needs to remove blinkers its a certain Clio driver

Ha ha, put in your place with facts now frog lover!
FWD is kack, and show it a wet bend, or a few leaves in winter, the only way is straight on!
And If it doesn't spin the front wheels, thats because its piddley little NA inline 4 doesnt produce enough torque, which at the end of the day means its still slow!

Not all Scoobs are slow, the base model WRX is certainly nothing most semi modern hot hatches wont be able to keep up with though.

No one has ever charged a Clio with a Rotrex up until now though, but it has the biggest charger in the series which you can spin quite quickly I wont be running it at 2.0bar though, it would be undrivable! 1.6 bar is enough for a genuine 360bhp on a Superflow dyno which will be more than enough lol

Wow, so based on your company car you have come to the well educated conclusion that all FF cars are crap? Well thankfully I dont have TC or drive by wire which is what you are basically blaming on it's crapness, not to mention the fact Seat's have never been noted for having a particularly good handling chassis, but dont let that stop the hate (and yeah, when I let off the gas on my car it doesn't pull... think it must be broken? lol)

1:18 is around Snetterton is similar to what my tuners daily drive demo car gets around there on road tyres and the usual track traffic, but then you are comparing a car with (i'm guessing) a highly modified drive train and engine against a car with a sadev gearbox almost 1200kg's of weight and a 200bhp engine that in reality makes high 180's to low 190's... so to put it into perspective a highly modified Impreza is a bit quicker than a 190bhp FF road car with a sequential box... is that impressive or am I missing something?

Just a quick question regarding rally pedigree (which is what I assume you are talking about), can you inform me of the common parts the road and rally cars share please? (if you like I can help you fill in the blanks - and no, not the empty space in your head )

At last your starting to see sense!

Regarding spinning the wheels, if your literate enough to read the entire post, you may have noticed i mentioned a wet bend and leaves, nothing about a primary school, but if thats what you like doing, hanging around outside primary schools trying to impress kids with ur french tird then each to their own. It probably is only kids your going to impress with it anyway

You understand that a wet bend and leaves will put any car off the road dont you?
If you have no grip (this goes for 4wd/fwd/awd/rwd) then you have no grip, its all the same and you have the same consequences.
Understand one thing, just because a car has 4wd/awd, doesnt mean its any better under most circumstances (black ice/mud/wet leaves on wet road, snow etc).
