Forza 3 is the better game, mainly because the cars feel like they have a bit of weight to them, shifts handling is twitchy as hell, forzas is quite nice

I got Forza3 and I'm frustrated by the multiplayer setup in the game. Love the car range but why not have more city maps? the worst thing though about the game is not allowing as a host to set options in a puiblic game. Why not? I like racing Focus ST's and Mini Cooper S's rather than some full on race car why not give the choice ??? You only get to be host if you don't end up joining someone elses game and then host restrictions are minimal based on what kind of race you chose.......what a load of bollicks!!

It makes me hopping mad, its such a wasted opportunity and so I'm going to trade it in...........

Can't someone just redevelop the magic of PGR2 online ????

Only did a few multiraces with a mate (he was host)

He did not know how to restrict the cars class at all (assumed he was being a spacker) and it was a surprise to find some random, joining with a fecking R3 machine, our poor little scooby race when we thought was a private game (again, i called him a spacker lol)

Loving the game but some elements of it are a little annoying. For example I've got a Z4 M modded to 480bhp at A599. Included in those mods is the first tyre upgrade and power is courtesy of a twin scew supercharger. Despite having the M$ wheel and peddles it is absolutely impossible to get off the line even with just <25% throttle and very smooth application. As soon as you touch the gas it instantly spins and that simply wouldn't happen in the dry from a dig in even a Z4M with 100bhp more. I mean for crying out loud it's on 140bhp more than standard and the standard car won't give you too much grief even if you get her rolling and stamp on the gas. The basic suggestion is that a z4m or m3 with this kind of power would be utterly impossible to drive at normal speeds and that's plainly stupid. I really don't understand why they can't program realistic traction dynamics into the game. It's not even like there would be a sudden torque spike from this sort of set up to break the back end away. As for mid-bend....lmao....if you even fart on the gas in 2nd or 3rd it tries to swap ends. I mean ffs, the standard rears on a z4m are massive!

Being quite old, I'm impressed that gaming has got to the level where you are complaining it isn't ultra-realistic. I have no idea whether you are right or wrong, just commenting on the progress.

The first driving game I played had graphics like this:

Have you played with the suspension ?

I have found that the 22b does not really like 1.2 degrees neg camber, and it seams to completely hate 1.5 degrees.

I have been slowly working on my S class 22b car, trying to stop the thing from sliding all over and have managed to make quite a bit of progress so far. In fact i managed to tame it quite well, and then the feckin power went off at home

What is a bit weird tho, is that 1.2degrees neg camber is pretty normal by impreza standards, so it should have made it better, i also found better results by lowering the tyre pressure from the suggested setting although that could make a little sense as the damper settings may still be to harsh.

Need to do more hotlaps to perfect my setup

I love the fact that after a race you can check the leader boards and see what you mates have done on the current track/carclass combo, it even tells you which pusscakes are using ABS and TCS

Manual Gears + using the clutch button, is faster then manual gears on its own.

Me and TheSquirrel555 had a wee drag race when the lights went green in identical cars, and he lashed me from the line by using the clutch

Some thoughts, for a good few races now i have been striving for a clean lap to get myself higher on the leaderboards, but i have been getting penalty what apeared to be no reason at all.

It appears that if the AI cars behind you are drafting, you are penalised for this and not given a "clean lap"

I knew for a fact that i was bang on my lines when this was happening, i wonder if this is a bug, or its intentional .

Micky, I was just about to post the same thing!
Say I've got into the lead on the last corner of a lap, going down the the pit straight starting a new lap I get the "you're doing something wrong" exclamation mark!
I don't see why a car getting a draft off your car should be deemed as unfair advantage?

Also found a bit of a bug/glitch

When the option for the "elite rwd" event came up (iirc around the time i won the mustag thing) i never bothered to enter it as it did not apeal.

Well today after ranking up to around 25-26 i decided to enter the "Elite RWD" event, i was in the wrong car so the game put me into my garage and told me to chose a valid car (all as normal) the glitch was, that i could select my TVR Sagaris, which i believe is totally past the max level of car allowed.
Unless i made a mistake, but i think the "Elite RWD" event is C class cars, and i do believe my Sagaris is a B class......

We also spotted a bit of an annoying feature with this, we setup a multiplayer race and the host locked down all cars apart from the 22b

I was allowed to enter the race with my modded "R3" version!

Due to me being a gentleman (allegedly) i put it away and got a stock one out instead

How does it determine the starting grid. The reason i ask is that I'm doing the Saloon Road Test with a unmodified RS4 and I'm always towards the back of the grid.

There is an option to not allow modifications, had he switched that on?

The multi-player options are seriously **** poor!!

No wonder they didn't include the multi in the demo otherwise it would have been apparent just how **** poor it was before you parted with your hard earned.

I see I am not the only one moaning as there is 64 pages of discussion on the multiplayer issues on the official forum. Turn10's response made me laugh "we want people to chat and arrange games, that why most of the features are locked down to private games.....talk about stupid............let's hope they patch it very soon. I mean 30 minutes asking die hard Forza2 fans about the proposed features would have told them it was a seriously $hit idea.......

Not sure to be honest, but i have already managed to do some events in single player with a car that exceeds the maximum allowed PI, so i think it may have a bit of a bug in the code somewhere.
