I'm not defending anyone. I'm just interested in learning more about a party that everyone tells me are evil, especially established politicians who seem to be treating me and everyone else with contempt. Especially as they've been elected to represent us in Europe. Someone must vote for them and like their policies.

And here speaks the apologist-in-chief for the BNP.
Your earlier post was absolutely jaw-dropping 'Britain for the British, who could argue with that'...
Well that all depends on what that ACTUALLY means doesn't it?
Do you realise who and what it is your are defending??
And more importantly why do you feel the need to slag off mainstream politics and at the same time leap to the defense of extremists???
Oh and stop being a **** about my grammar, I was educated under Maggie!

And I wasn't 'slagging' off main-stream parties, at least not in that post. Just pointing out that I've yet to see any meaningful policies from any of them. Plus many of the current Labour cabinet, and many of their colleagues, were paid up members of the Communist party. I notice you didn't come back on that point, just resorted to exactly what most of the press and politicians are doing regarding the BNP, and that's purely to insult them and anyone who might vote for them.
That isn't good debate, or make political sense, as it WILL come back to bite the *mainstream* parties because they will not put forward any coherent arguments against them. As I read somewhere earlier, many people will vote for the BNP, not because they agree with all they say, but because it'll be a vote AGAINST the main-stream who are not taking the concerns of the electorate seriously.
Come back on the points I've raised if you want. I don't mind. Honest ......

Ummm. You don't actually read what people write do you? I said ".. I don't think anyone here is 'defending' the BNP ...". I suppose I could have said 'including me', would that have made it clearer?

The main problem with BNP isn't what they were, it's what they are!
And the fact that they have come up with meaningless popularist policies is also irrelevant, because they'll never have to deliver any of them

Hmmmm. Watching Newsnight on this issue is like watching 5 people fumbling aound in a dark room. I think the rise of the BNP is less and less about race to be honest, and watching Griffen on tv the last few days he seems to have base shifted his party from race to disenfranchisement of our political system, specifically the two big parties. In 1997 this party wouldn't have enough votes to fill a top hat. The public aren't fools and are seeking other avenues for their vote as I think the two main parties are so out of touch with reality.
Positive discrimination, 'hate crime laws', increasing ties with Europe, the breaking of manifesto promises, the unelected PM, heath and safety nonsense, speed cameras, cctv, lies on Iraq, illegal wars, big government with big spending, masses of red tape, uncontrolled immigration, past the joke nannying legislation etc etc. These are all issues that are driving people to extremest parties as debate about 'PC' areas are off limits. The population are being treated like morons who can't think or do anything for themselves until it has been risk assessed and censored by some chinless jobsworth.
We've been hijacked by a self appointed loony left I think. No good looking at the Tories.

It's with an apostrophe is only ever used as an abbreviation for 'it is' so the second occurence should be its as in the possessive form.
The expression 'people in glass houses' comes to mind

As you are being such a grammar pedant I thought you would like to know you are plain wrong about the second one.

AS I've said, WHO is defending them? All people have said is that the mainstream parties are not connected to voters at all and that the BNP has policies that do. Simples .....
[Hmmm. Nor sure whether that should be 'simple's ....

The BNP do say things that most of us agree with - out of control immigration, an EU state most of the UK population don't want, a used and abused social services system, a frankly dangerous NHS, and schools churning out morons.
And as for whites vs black vs asian - I don't think its like that - not anymore. There is an influx of immigrants from eastern europe that are white and there is a growing resentment of these people in the UK. The problem was in the past immigrants were of a different colour which made name calling and easier identification of these people.
If you cease immigration altogether and make these sink estate freeloaders work for their meal why have immigration at all?
The BNP have either realised that if they want to be taking seriously they need to distance themselves from their overly racist past or they are milking the "disenfranchisement" TM of the UK population and the big parties.

Many of their intentions with regards to their policies are sensible and would be good for us and the country.
As I said before though, they are unlikely to change their spots when it comes to their base intentions.
