Haye Vs Valuev
#32
i ve always liked david haye, but i don t think he did enough to win, however its great for boxing fans, he is actually really good, fast and exciting to watch and the build up was great, mostly generated by him.
the main thing is its good for the sport as he is normally great to watch.

Nice to see Haye win.
I hope you people noted my prediction earlier and put a couple of pounds on.

£10-10 o'clock, Haye on points."
I don't think he likes being called a "Circus freak " watch the video... :quote
I missed the fight, my turn to work, but caught a few rounds and part rounds as it was on in the bar.
I thought Haye had him in the later rounds was it 10-11 Hay rocked him ?

Have to agree with others pretty dull fight. But Haye stuck to his game plan hit and run.
No point trading with Valuev as he would have probably got knocked out. Haye could have thrown a few more punches during the rounds but I suppose he had to reserve his energy for the later rounds. Mind you he did rock the giant in the 11TH round.
I am still glad he won though and now the doors are open. Hopefully we will see a Haye vs Klitscho brothers.

Well, in spite of all the adverse comments, and who can blame those who made them really, he won the fight and I think he deserves full praise for doing so.
No one gave him a chance, I did not think he would survive, but he proved us all wrong and we now have another world champion.
Good on the bloke.

I thought Haye fought a great fight, had a game plan stuck to it, made the russian look slow and nearly took Valuevs head off in the last round. Haye clearly won the fight and anyone who thinks otherwise must have watched a different fight. Imagine yourself trapped in the ring with that giant and then think what you would do in the same situation. Haye went for a points win and got it boxing is not about standing there and getting hit, rocky was not real you know.
