Trains used to be clean, fast and cheap in the days before privatisation.

So you're a track worker? What exactly do you do? Just curious as someone I know very well happens to work trackside as part of the ultrasonics team.

Some people on this site are up their own @rse, reading through this thread there are numerous posts by members that think their better than others! Thankfully this is pretty much confined to NSR.

Some people don't seem to have anything better to do.

Don't understand the reason why people post ****e on here just to stir and get a reaction.

Do you really have nothing better to do with your time?

(Yes Davyboy, that is aimed at you)

Any post you make on here is to stir things up and get a reaction.
Normally i don't bite (as that is exactly what you want), but sometimes you need reminding what a tit you make yourself look.

What you end up doing is looking like a lesser version of PS Lewis. Same crap, but without any of the humour.

Rant over folks

Can't people have views anymore?

I think our Hi Viz wearing, loadsamoney friends summed it up best with post 86

Well my self esteem building sessions are working so i'm getting there thankfully.

I can only imagine how sad your home life must be to get your kicks out of the threads and posts you make. Self esteem are the least of your problems

It didn't start that way. Some just find it hard to stay objective, and start taking things to personally.

The problem is Davyboy you have got yourself a reputation.

Years ago people might have thought you had a genuine point to make.

Nowadays most realise you are trolling/baiting (or whatever you like to call it).

Was good whilst it lasted. Maybe take a note from what the other 'trolls' have done and re-register under a different username, then you can start the fun all over again.

Only you seem to think I have this reputation. Not the first time you feel the need to reply to me, with the voice of the people.

It seems anyone who does not agree with the masses is accused of bring a troll. A little predictable and boring.

Now come on, I'm trying to watch autumn watch and typing on the iPhone is a slow process!

I actually speak to people off this forum everyday, and you'll be pleased to know when they comment to me that this place has gone downhill due to trolls and timewasters your name is often mentioned.... so well done

The reason i reply to you about the trolling is that the 'old school' two are you and Lewis.
The difference is i find him amusing (although i know lots don't).

Even though I talk to people off this forum in real life every day, I don't find davyboy offensive, or in fact the legend that is PSLewis.

IIRC it was a well known and well repected mod who told me you had an Impreza, didn't get on with it, got shafted when you get rid of it, and have been bitter ever since.

(and no, they weren't from Essex... and neither am i)

FWIW nobody has put you in the same league as Lewis, just a poor 'wannabe'

Dave,

I wear & encourage staff to wear Hi Viz do you want to challenge me to as what i earn ?

Tar & Brush spring to mind ................... i for one dont see the point of slating train drivers, the guys have to memorise(sp??) there routes. They have to hit certain buttons every minute of there journey or else the safety brakes come on & 200 tonnes comes crashing to a stop.
Research it a bit more before you spout your mouth off.
Oh & on another note ............. what is it that you do for a living ?

The mod is clearly a few tools short of a tool box. The only bit they got right was the fact I had an Impreza.

Didn't get on with it (wasn't very fast) and shafted on resale (I think I lost £3k with 30k miles and a year)? What a clown.

You've done a great job of defending them there! No wonder they need such intensive training!

They do a great job (well average), but to moan about a 3% rise when many are getting made redundant and getting no rise stinks a bit to me. This is the point of the thread.

For what it's worth I do project management and manage a small team of IT communications professionals. I too can memorise my way to work and press buttons every minute.....radio northampton, radio1, radio2, 3 counties radio, indicate left, indicate right

Maybe they were talking about the other Davyboy who always posts ****, or were just mistaken.

I'm not trying to argue with you, i just can't understand the logic behind trolling. (deny it as much as you like, but we know what you're playing at).

On the train driver point you might have been asking a genuine question, but unfortunately your reputation makes it hard to believe it was a valid question you wanted an answer to.

And FWIW i agree that in the current economic climate some people should think themselves lucky they still have a job.

I won't be getting a pay rise this year, but i won't be going on strike about it.

A "bit" of knowledge is in this case is a dangerous thing. Enough said.
Is it that your jealous that these guys earn more than you ? If so why dont you go & retrain as a train driver, i could see you getting past maybe the first huddle of filling in the application form.
Your wonderful Dave
