Why look closer ? The leaders of those nations will be first on my list for blame but experience tells me that they will never change. I think a sociaist revolution in nigeria followed by nationalisation of oil there would be the only solution but I am not holding my breath.
My issue is that we let large corporations get away with anything murder included provided they do it far away, we will trade the shares here like its a different company if they hurt people in africa/middle east etc.

Its a drop in the ocean, its like you sticking a quid in the charity box even though you are overdrawn, realistically make no difference, may improve the situation in a poor country and we have a responsibility to offer some aid as a first world country.

I do agree to a certain extent about charity beginning at home but this is small fry compare to what is wasted, failed IT projects, wars in faraway places, what was given to shore the banks up, spent keeping spongers (indeginous and recently arrived) spongers in the manner to which they are accustomed. I suspect that the bankers will be giving themselves huge bonnuses again seeing as the chastening they had is over and they are in charge of the (public) cash, like putting greedy fat schoolboys in charge of the Mr Kipling factory putting the typical bankers in charge, 1.5 million would be a fairly high but not rare city salary, I begrudge that but not a few quid to help out somewhere like Africa.

Its like the MP's expenses, minor figures in reality, but it was a good story and they were taking the p1ss, this again, in a time of money being tight does strike some chords but its **** all.
