This has to be the dumbest quote of all time. CO2, apart from being essential to plants for a start, is also actually required for breathing. Without it we can't breathe funniliy enough. Some people just have no clue...

Anyway, here's some interesting news. Hadley CRU hacked.

Breaking News Story: CRU has apparently been hacked – hundreds of files released Watts Up With That?

More clueless Gore.

Gore has no clue – a few million degrees here and there and pretty soon we’re talking about real temperature Watts Up With That?

What's that Mr. Gore, the Coriolis effect works the other way in your world?

Not finding any, Gore airbrushes in hurricanes for his new book Watts Up With That?
Stop putting words in my mouth will you?

When did I suggest that Co2 wasn't essential, when did I suggest anything even vaguely to challenge that obvious fact.

Is this the level you have sunk to now, is this how ridiculous your case has become that you need to invent a false argument then put those words into my mouth...man you're a clown

What a bizarre thing to say!!

Are you suggesting that we burn carbon without creating C02.

Are you suggesting that your body doesn't burn carbon based fuels?

Im not sure what your point is here...and I suspect you aren't too clear either

I think the point is the mass media/political mixing up of CO2 and carbon. both very different, one is element fundamental to everything, the other is a naturally occuring gas (at room temp).

Carbon is emitted from incomplete combustion (soot), in the form of solid residue that can be easily filtered and turned into women's eyeliner ( ). CO2 comes from clean combustion.

Whilst all this deabte goes on, there is little talk made of NOx - a much nastier combustion pollutant IMO. And by restricting CO2 emissions in combustion, you actually increase NOx as to reduce CO2 and carbon your encouraged to burn fuels in a oxygen rich environment.

I agree with Dedrater and Chris Purvis.

All this carbon trading business seems to me to give the lie to all this fuss about GBW. If things are so critical as they tell us, then why are rich countries allowed to buy the ability to produce the carbon tonnage that the country they buy it from can't use to produce carbon for their own purposes.

If they were honest about it then they would accept the seller's ability not to produce more carbon and restrict the rich country to the original requirements for the sake of saving the world as they tell us is so vital!

As it stands it is a big fiddle for their own selfish reasons.

That's a rather pointless arguement as the entire plantet is carbon based!
Also, you are basically saying that anyone that doesn't side with the 'global warming' theory, is uneducated. Well, please educate me! Show me the evidence that we are to blame for any change in our climate.
I thought cows were more to blame than us for Christ sake!

No you did that, just read back in the thread.

"When did I suggest that Co2 wasn't essential, when did I suggest anything even vaguely to challenge that obvious fact."

From your posts it is clear you had no idea. Did you google recently?

"Is this the level you have sunk to now, is this how ridiculous your case has become that you need to invent a false argument then put those words into my mouth...man you're a clown"

Martin, a clown is one who cannot accept facts. Please, show me where my facts are wrong.

And now, your hallowed Hadly CRU is fake, look at the links I posted. Rotten data, even more rotten than Dr K. Briffa's crap!

Clearly you ARE stupid!

So you didn't imply that people who don't believe that human caused global warming exists, must all believe in a 'conspiracy theory' that governments are just out to get our dosh? You can't have it both ways.

I'm not trying to be pedantic I'm trying to be accurate. I have never said ALL people sceptical of GW theory believe in a Tax Conspiracy, never....not once!

Others that claim it's a conspiracy are kind of self selecting themselves into that group aren't they

You would be a right laugh in down the local!
Well that's how I took your comment and I am not going to apologise for that. Maybe I am only one that read it in that way.

Er, you asked a question ("But you can't emitt Co2 without burning carbon can you?" in case you have forgotten) and i answered it ("Of course you can emit CO2 without "burning carbon" - you are doing it right now!!! It is called respiration!!!"). How can that be bizarre?

I haven't got a clue where you got that "idea" from?

It certainly doesn't "burn" carbon in the context of hutton_d's post to which you were originally replying (i.e. "associated with coal, reminds you of something dark and sooty" and "black chunks of CO2 billowing from factories, cars, houses, and skyscrapers").

As above, i answered your question. You obviously have failed to understand the answer
