Thumbs down

Still shyte for me, 36 hours into the new week.

But I'm sure IB are either a) working on it, just forgot to keep us in the loop, or b) not bothered, they think it's fixed and what do a few Brits matter anyway?

YOU make YOUR choice, I know which I'm going with

Do try and keep up Alcy, Stu has informed you in your other thread:

I'm sorry I wasn't here to answer your enquiries yesterday, but what you guys seem to forget is that IB is in California, so when someone says they will look at it today, that will be after you guys finish work, and their working day ends when you guys are in bed.

David and his team have been looking at these issues overnight and releasing a few more channels on the firewall to test for results with you guys. We are not personally experiencing any problems, so it makes the testing process very hard indeed. At the same time we are testing new software and looking at solutions to decrease the global spam issue all forums are faced with recently.

The DDOS attack is still in full force and we are having to work around it. I must reiterate that this is NOT Internet Brands fault, we are being attacked by a third party and doing everything we can to resolve the issues, but please don't expect us to come on here giving hourly updates as it isn't going to happen. We will only come on and update when we think we have a resolution as telling you we haven't fixed it is pretty pointless don't you think?

Please remember that we host over 100 of the worlds biggest and busiest forums, this is not an issue affecting only scoobynet and our team are working constantly to resolve these issues that are affecting its members. Having the opinion that Scoobynet members are worthless and we don't care is pretty silly when you consider the scale of the issue here.

Please bear with us, we will overcome this problem, but any IT people out there experienced with hosting sites that collectively serves over 650million hits per month to in excess of 50 million people will be able to back me up when I say this is not going to be an overnight solution.

Do try and keep up Alcy, Stu has informed you in your other thread:
Pretty difficult TO keep up when I can only get certain threads to load without I wait 15 minutes I haven't got to spare

Which brings me neatly back to why I think it would be a good idea to keep us updated daily, even if it's only to say "we haven't fixed it yet, but are still trying" on a banner, rather than us have to keep searching and assuming something IS being done.

After all.....IB Adrian thought it was fixed until I started pestering him

tis quite annoying when you just wana browse whats forsale or the projects updates and it ends up taking ten times longer then usual.

or you make a long detailed post/reply and go to post and it doesny work...

hope its fixed soon chaps.

Yes' it's STILL wnak, and yes, IB are refusing to keep us in the loop.

I've asked for a dailey banner or something just to say no progress, or whatever, but they refuse. How long would THAT take to do?

It's my belief they can't or won't do any more, and those of us who are stuck, are stuck, if you see my point? Doesn't matter, the advertisers continue to pay, the members HAVE paid.........

Posting: if it times out, click back, ONCE, then click post again. Keep doing it until it tells you you've already posted it, it's a duplicate, whatever

Mate, you're fighting a losing battle I'm afraid.
I complained on 3 separate occassions that the overnight forum summaries were duplicating content across 2 or 3 days - old posts were coming up as new.
The response was "oh it's spam or people re-posting" - which having checked the forum I know is nonsense.

To me it translates as "we don't understand how to fix the issue so we'll pretend it doesn't exist".
And wouldn't you know it - this response sounds VERY similar - "oh it's fine for us, so we can bury our heads in the sand."
I knew it was a bad idea moving this site to the US...

Alcy - what browser and OS are you using?

"Alcy"? How do people KNOW?

Seriously, though, Virgin Mdeia Broadband 10Mb, and a choice of Firefox or IE8, doesn't make any difference.

AVG and Firefox adblockers.

Still up and down here. Somedays get everything quick. Other days nearly every connection is dropped.

What used to be fun/informative is now getting to be tiresome and hard work. Luckily most of the info required is on the SIDC forum, but it's not the same as chatting about it.

As I don't pay for use of SN it's difficult for me to complain with any real conviction, but I sympathise with those of you that do pay.
It's extremely frustrating to read through a thread and, having decided to respond and written your reply, you find that all you get is timeout notices.
The problems I have experienced with FF and IE generally illustrate a degree of unreliability in page loading.
One day it will be fast as f***, the next it might not even load pages, but most of the time you can't really tell if you're going to get a normal response to page requests.

Mine takes a few minutes every time I try opening a page too.

Replies seem to work fine though.

AVG! Do you know how resource hungry and poor at detecting viruses/malware that trash is? Binning it for something efficient like Nod32 might not fix scoobynet, but it will speed up your PC.

Anyhoo, Poll is finished, so thread locked.
