It's not a tax, it's an investment.

Look at mkI and mkII escorts and the price difference between 2 and 4 door models. If you pay extra for the 2 door you get that money back when you come to sell it.

Two door subaru's are relatively rare compared to two door escorts given the total number produced so imagine what the price difference will be in 5, 10 or 20 years time.

the only thing putting me off the imports is the lack of history, my sti v3 i had imported was mint but needed a new clutch immediatly which i wasnt made aware off by the importer and due to lack of history ie none, i had the cambelt changed as well and the thing ended up costing me a fortune. hence why the rb5 in question is tempting as has full subaru and specialist history, has had a new clutch fitted 4k ago with receipts and maf sensor etc and is standard so i know its been well looked after. also its in mint condition.

If your tempted by it (think I came across it earlier and yes it does look pretty mint ) then go for it

RB5

When I got my RB5 I soon realised that it was really underpowered.

A VF28, decat and remap soon sorted that though.

Nice cars but they are a bit wooly in standard form.

Sounds like your heads up your **** a bit with what you want at the moment. [been there doing that at the mo. lol]

Do some more reading up on here, be patient and make your choices.

P1, RB5, modded classic, whatever you choose they are all great cars.
