We'll my worst ever was on a customers site testing new software in their test company
I needed to delete sale order files for company 04 to start testing again from scratch
I deleted sales order files for all companies in a live environment in a moment of utter madness
As soon as I pressed enter on issuing the delete command I just had this unreal sick feeling thinking ****
Had to go to the sales office and explain that they are not really entering orders anymore even though the software hasn't yet realised it doesn't have files any more
Was a food company too - and they'd been taking sales orders from restaurants etc from 6am
I fcuked them up big time about 11am
Dreadfull feeling

Sage Line 500 / SQL backend per chance?
Sounds very familiar with talk of live and test companies.

Our copier does everything except fax and email. I wanted them seperate.
But its our main printer for all machines in the office and all mail and paperwork is scanned - we are pretty much knackered if it properly fails.
Fortunately, you can still you use but just have to remember where the buttons where underneath the pretty looking blob that was the LCD screen.
Oh Moley - your hand won't be straight again. I've done exactly the same and that bone on my left hand is bent like a banana. I believe its called "punching like a girl" because its the completely wrong part of the fist to impact (weakest)

Just last week funnily enough.
Girl friend and I always **** about calling each other names. I'll walk in the house and she'll say something like alright ******** or such like.
She's heavily pregnant (due Friday) and on maternity leave. So last week I popped home for lunch and walked through the door, I decided to get the insult in first and jokingly said "Where's my effing dinner you fat b*tch"
I forgot that the mother in law was there that day!!!!
If you knew my mother in law you'd know just what a horrible f*ck up that was.
She now thinks her precious little girl is in an abusive relationship and I am boyfriend from hell. The GF is milking it for all its worth though and reminding me of the horrible moment at every opportunity.
I'm cringing just thinking about it as we are the happiest couple on the planet and this portrays totally the opposite.

Had that feeling a couple of weeks ago.
Was at work offshore a couple of weeks ago. This is a new job 3rd 2 week trip so doing my best to keep my nose clean as im still on probation. Anyway I had been told to go out witha can of expanding foam to seal up some holes in the platforms pressurised accomodation to see if we could source a leak. As people may or may no know an oil platform has smoke and gas detectors on the HVAC inlet ducts.
Anyway im sealing up a hole with the expanding foam next to one of these ducts and guess what. Expanding foam contains butane which trigger the gas detector which shuts off all power to the whole vessel and sets of the general platform alarm getting 100 night shift personell out of there bed to stand outside and muster in a 40 knot horrizontal rain storm when it's 2 degrees. Me being on the fire team has to go an investigate the suspected gas leak knowing I caused it and having admitted to it.
150 people had to stand out in that rain for an hour, 100 of which are in the middle of there nighs sleep.
Needless to say there was a few words uttered afterwards in my ear and everybody is still takin the ****. Anybody top that?

Being extremely honest here, I wasn't aware that I had. Any chance of refreshing my memory as to when and where? Did I actually speak to you, or was it a case of we happened to be at an event and in the same room as each other? No, I'm not about to say "... because I wouldn't give you the time of day".
