I wonder what skeletons of Roger Federer are about to fall out of the cupboard

I am sorry to see that it seems that by his own admission he has been very foolish and his marriage is probably down the tubes now.
Hard to say what it will do to his career too.

His career is already taking a turn for the worse.
Gatorade, one of his top five sponsors, has dropped him this week - they are using 'we were planning a strategic change for months line' that is always used when a star is dropped.
He is not able to attend his own charity tournament because of this story. How long will it be before any story about him is about his game or his contribution rather than this story.
It is hard to see that the $10m plus annual sponsorship by Accenture can continue with Woods as their number one global brand Ambassador. There are billboards of Woods in just about every major airport in the Western World where he is advertising Accenture.
Last month he was pictured with Obama on a magazine cover headed 'Ten things Obama could learn from Tiger'. I can't imagine for a moment that Obama is pleased with the connection now.
So IMHO his career is a much a fµck up as his private life.
As for his golf - other professional golfers who have had traumatic personal experiences have suggested that these experiences can hit your game hard, sometimes for years. There is also a suggestion that he has been addicted to Vicodin which is a highly addictive painkiller - so he may not be up for playing anyway.
And all this is before considering a potentially adversarial $300m divorce case!
As Gordon Brown said - this is going to get worse before it gets better!

The effects on his life about the likely break up of his marriage which he appears not to want to happen. This is may well be exacerbated by the loss of respect for him because of his foolish actions.
He might eventually get back to his golfing standard, it is all down to his personal attitude to the situation and his own mental strength.
Not too difficult to work that out is it?

Tag Heuer have dropped him.
Gillette have not used his ad since the car crash (very expensive collateral if you cannot use it).
Buick have dropped him.
Today's rumours are that his wife has asked him to pack in golf!!!!
And that the UK media has been gagged from printing or soliciting naked pictures of him; even though his lawyers having secured the injunctions are denying any knowledge of naked pictures that do not exist!

Poor sod I say, Why SHOULDN'T he get his "Freak On" with some high class hoes / **** stars if his Mrs doesn't "Do it" for him anymore? It's not like he's the first and he certainly won't be the last. It's not often a painless simple choice to make to play away from home but he did it (and I'll bet his wife had a part to play in that situation) Seems harsh that it is gonna cost him $10's of Millions but that's the nature of the beast.
Mind you - (Not in the same league I grant you, but does anyone remember Richard Bacon getting sacked in disgrace a few years back? He seems to be making a reasonable living now!) Tiger will be ok - this will blow over (no pun intended) in time and he'll recover for sure. It's the frothy mouthed, goggly eyed, bible belt and sensationalists whipping this up for all it's worth at the moment.
Supremely embarrassing for Woods - But I don't think any worse of him for hearing this.

How bored do these people have to be to persue such a boring and pointless story...... Man marries woman, man gets bored and humps other women... So ******* what?! Sick to death of hearing about this **** in the news now, millions of people cheat every year, it's not new and it's never gonna stop.
Just leave the bloke alone, not like it's exciting news, he's simply another human being with no influence on anything!
If I wasn't such an ugly **** I'd do it myself and my missus would be appreciative, if I'm getting it somewhere I won't be pestering her all the time for it LOL

Come again?!
He's a global megastar who either portrays himself or is marketed by others as the perfect golfer with a perfect lifestyle/family and as a result is paid millions of dollars as a result to keep up the image.
In doing so, he has become a role model to many walks of life who spend $$$ aspiring to be him.
Now it turns out the image is fraudulent, so its not surprising that sponsors are dumping him and he's being ridiculed.
I don't know why he wanted or was forced to put on this squeaky clean mask in the first place - but its come to bite him back big style.

I feel sorry for Tiger.
If he were my husband, I would have lost it as well. But looking at it from another perspective, the guy travelled away from home 5 out of 7 a week, he lost his father in 2006, who he was very close to. I am not surprised that Tiger needed the gap to be fulfilled by any and many. I just wish his stunning wife had travelled with him most times, if not all. Now, assuming a reason for his wrong acts certainly doesn't make them right, but I don't think that a legend needs to beat himself with a golf club for his multiple affairs. I am actually a bit worried about Tiger, as nothing further has been heard from him apart from an obscure, moral confession for his immoral acts. Hope he is breathing okay behind those closed doors.

Some forget that all humans make mistakes (deleberate, unconscious, single or even multiple), unless they are God. Someone also said that when God makes a mistake, it is called Nature! LOL

Knowing a few lads on the European tour i'd heard a few stories about Tiger. One being that his missus turned up at the Open last year out of the blue going ballistic at him. She was shouting about other women etc etc, hence why he played so poorly, missed the cut and his attitude was the worst i've seen him have. So judging by that he's done right to take a few months off and get his mind and marriage back in line as his on course mentallity would be all over the shop. The Open is at St Andrews next year which is his favorite course, and I for one hope he wins it![Smile](images/smilies/smile.gif)
Stealth, have a word with yourself if you think Tiger has no influence on anything. Apart from President Obama i'd say he's the best known person in the world and millions look up to him.
