Sticky, do the car washes use recycled water? its just the local auto one to us is doing a 99p wash and dry and I find it hard to see how that can pay, it must use £1 worth of water on a wash lol.

£35 and she could pay rest in kind? fairplay for trying to help her out mate.
I once nearly killed an exs little bruther for asking to wash my car (corrardo g60) then coming in and saying he couldnt get the bird poo off with a sponge so he used the green side! lol G3 and buffer sorted it tho.

My pressure washers (all 3 of them) are all 3 phase industrial powered monsters, that are "rather" expensive (none of this mass market £300 "but itz got 110 bar" karcher crap)
The motor i have just replaced on one of them cost me about the same as one of them complete "pro" karcher things
My equipment is up to the task

Once, we were testing a 3 phase motor and the biggest pump we had, we also decided it didn't need an unloader valve so just taped the trigger open - you've guessed the punchline already
Needless to say the tape got wet and the trigger closed - with my workmate's head above the pump!!!
The pump head cups brushed his hair as the went through the skylight of the workshop and landed in the car park.
Lucky to be alive - we joked about it after but it was heart in mouth stuff at the time.

Once per year a company comes out and emptys/cleans the tanks out.
We even harvest the rain water to top the tanks up
When you have huge buying power you can get costs right down, people can still make money from that 99p wash suprising as it seams.
The basic wash price around the country changes somewhat, here it is currently 1.70 (going up to 1.80 soon) its usually an indication on how affluent an area is.

She even paid for a car wash
No idea why, the car looked like **** after Bazza Scott had his way with it, but it still had some paint on it (mainly the plastics) so maybe the "mystical" jetwashes were supposed to take the rest of it off? (they did not lol)

I used to repair pressure washers. We had a few 3 phase machines to look after.

He changed his mind and put his hand in his pocket the day after one of the 2" brass shut-off valves we used to cap the connection points broke free from it's retainer, fecked of through the roof, and came back down through his office skylight
There were no close shaves on our part though, we all knew how dangerous it was, so made sure we were well out of the way before we pressurised it

Thanks Sticky, it amazes me how they can but I suppose volume is the key to it like most things.
They did have a banner up about a free vac with every wash..although I didn't have one (although I should have lol it needs doing)
Even £1.80 for a wash is good value compared to the 'hand wash places' who charge £5 -6.

You can get them for around 99p in south shields IIRC, although i think that site is due to close?
The byker site ran by my mate is only 10 mins drive away, but the customer spending habbits are totally different, the majority of his business is on the 2 basic washes and he does very little in top washes.
Yet 10 mins drive down the road and i do mainly top programs, my works wash is £7.00 compared with his £6.00 (although i do have an extra tyre dressing machine on my works program)
My mates site does more volumes with it being closer to newcastles city centre, but because i get on average more cash from each customer, it balances out .
Customers are a funny breed sometimes
