Once again people are using this type of thread to take the p!ss out of each other......
There are 2 many "My ***** are bigger then yours" statements, without actually getting them out for people to see!!!
I am perhaps one of those people, but at least I am willing to get my hands dirty and sort something out!!!
If this crap don't stop on this thread, i'll get it deleted and that will be the end of that!!!!!!
BACK TO THE VENUE
Harj I know your **** over face about running a track day, but this isn't going to work m8. Whether we can get Brunters or some other facility remains to be seen, but the best approach is gonna be a timed event(s) of some kind.
I have been approached by some helpful sole of the RS Board, who may be able to get some kind of TV feature/coverage.
I would anticipate that we need at least 10 examples of each marque. But more importantly we need cars!!
Keep the crap of this Thread and only post if you are serious about taking part!
Shaun.

Sorry Shaun, never my intention to hijack the thread.
I'm very friendly with the RS guys when out and having been in Dingy's Escort would never get involved in a mine is faster argument. LOL
I'll not be taking part as a video/TV + timed runs = no warrenty.
Also I have a standard-ish UK car and would be crap at this anyway. LOL
Will be along to give our Lads some support.

Owbow - which bit of the 'it was only friendly banter' did you not understand?
I suggested that you contact 'the other lot' as you will be making up part of their contingent.
Hope you can make it.

Count me out - some people need a sense of humor transfusion!
I thought this sort of thing would involve a bunch of blokes (& even gals) getting together - having a laugh and just enjoy the cars. Dare I suggest that some are taking it too seriously.

My initial idea was to get thre RS and Scooby people together, for the competitive elements to establish who is the 'fastest', corners bestest, quickest time, etc and for the whole thing to be a social (scocaible) event. We are all car entheusiasts so we already have something in common.
Having a bit of fun and getting to know each other is the main thing (and beating 'em big time of course but do not tell 'em).
I hope that this theme does not get lost and maybe this can be a regular event.
I started the thread with the best of intentions and i believe most people have taken this on board.

RVeiga,
If your comments are aimed towards me, then I feel sorry you feel that way?????
What was a good idea made by Paul, has since turned into people "Slagging" each other off again. I must stress that this future event is all in the name of organsing a good time for everybody, but makes it very tiresome for us people who are trying to organise it, only to find that the thread is being hijacked by the same constant nonsense. I know from previous RR days I have organised the amount of time and effort that goes into organising. I would rather have ideas and comments to assist, then a barage of nonsense.
People seem to have a pop (not pointing the finger at you), that don't seem to realise the effort involved in getting the thing off the ground.
This is not and never will be a grudge match between the RS & Scooby lot, but I would appreciate any other comments to be kept off this thread and confined to the muppet forum
Regards,
Shaun.

So is this "FUN" event still attractive for people to attend then!!!!!
What ever pre-conceived ideas were before (whether wrongly conveyed by either Paul or Myself), this is meant to be a fun day, where both marques can get on track and have a good time!!!
At the moment only 5 Scoobies have shown an interest.....we need plenty more to make this a goer. This time the RS lot seem to have the lead for show of hands

Check out Easytrack or Race-speed site, some pics from track day on24/2 all types of motors incl scoobs and cossies. Maybe Vision Motorsport can help you out.
