40 quid :-)
Root canal - I personally found this to be most uncomfortable and very painfull the first time it was done which is probably why I hate it.

They drill into the back of the tooth and basically cut the nerve is how I understand it - saves loosing a tooth

I once had to have 4 done on the same ******* tooth.
First one was emergency out of hours.
Literally from no where on a Sunday I start having an "uncomfortable" feeling like a toothache

Later on that evening I can only describe this as a sudden change from uncomfortable to moderate pain then extreme pain
Go to hospital and explain problem - dentist looks, xrays and then freezes mouth area with 4 injections and comes back maybe 15 minutes later to which I tell him its still sore.
He explains that because of the abscess the anesthetic can't get through and if I want the pain to stop he'll have to drill it regardless

So he drills - its so ******* sore for about 30 seconds and then the pain just went away
I assume because the puss or whatever is in there is released.

He does stuff and begins to stick these skinny bar in your tooth to clean it out.
I had to go to my dentist where she repeated the process, but without the pain of the first one.

Maybe 3 weeks later I begin to experience "uncomfortable" feeling in teeth.
Book dentist and she confirms abscess again and does work

Sometime later - ba$tard pain is back in same tooth.

Go to dentist again, this time I tell her put me to sleep for this.
Have it done again and touch wood its never returned since
