I used to like Mark n lard, got a bit close to the mark for some, W.ANK radio and one man and his frog and Animal Hospital was good, along with their **** takes of famous songs. Nat king Cole's Forgetable, that's what you are.
The Euro stuff's not the same without Terry though. As for Chris Evans, pass me my shotgun please.

Interesting how perspectives are so different.
The almost unwatchable Eurovision was totally unwatchable from my perspective because of Wogan. His tiresome 'teasing' (as Les likes to put it) was clearly designed to appeal to the type of Brits who go abroad in the summer and wear hankies on their heads and complain about the lack of proper food, whilst eating their fried English breakfasts all day.

Lets face it though mate, some of the cough cough music can be - how can i put this, unusual? And the voting process of everybody choosing their neighbours rather than the best songs kills any seriousness off altogether.
The 70s seem to be the worst, la la la la la is not a song. What about that one that won from the Ukraine a few years back, Jesus Christ, even a great White would steer clear of that lot Without his sarcasm there's only racism left and that's not something anybody really wants is it.

I found that when Wogan was presenting Eurovision that it then became watchable, but when he stopped that it became totally boring and predictable of course as far as the voting goes. No light relief to help it on a bit.
The "type of Brits" that you describe are those who would not even understand Wogan's humour anyway, a bit short in that direction as I dare to suggest that even you might be by the sound of it, as surprising as I find that to be!

I always liked Dave Allen myself, if we;re keeping with Paddies.
You youngsters probably won't know him that much, trod on too many toes over the years.

Good riddance to the boring old goat I say.
They should have put Johhny Walker on for breakfast instead, Evans is a bit on the giddy side for mornings IMO. Besides, big up respect to JW for peddling high class Ho's and nose-whiskey to arab tea-towell-heads and getting away with it
I'll stick with 6 music for now, with the exception of Marc Riley playing utter gibberish from 7PM onwards, it's about the best station I've heard.
