Hi Mate,

I do not remember that part (offer), but for sure 1000 GBP + shipping it is not a hell of a deal for a refurbed set. I guess I stick around for erchie84 brakes so far that seems to be a viable option. Unless a CP5570 6 pot comes up meanwhile.

Thanks guys for still keep looking.

Cheers,

R.

Exactly as the ones pictured further up but the AP logo has been painted(by me) blue to match the detailing on the car I was going to fit them ..however I might sell at the right bid
ANy interest?
mate, first page post number 19 -

these are the same kit, jay @ scoobybits offered them to you, same guys on ebay. you pm'd him in post 20 not sure what went on but as you say at that money they are not a DEAL for a recon set of 4 pots

You are right... The reason I have rejected are the following:
1. Not Genuine AP discs and bells
2. Price (2 yr old 4 pot kit, which required pads only) went for 700 GBP, other went for 600 GBP.

It is not really how much (well that too), but how much for what.
I may sound "annoyingly picky", but there were 3 kits I have missed the past year, because somebody paid faster then me. (E-mail the guy after 2 hours the kit was advertised. "Please send me your PayPal info"... Response: "Sorry the AP kit is sold..." I was angry as ****, because the kit was for 530 GBP... )

Cheers,

R.

Yeah Mates, all sound good. This kit was for sale on E-bay couple months back together with a rear kit. I do not know if there was any issues with it, I guess I have to rely on PayPal security if something is wrong.

Most likely I will only have the bells shipped, since discs would be just expensive (and useless), I just buy new ones for 200 GBP.

Steve thanks... If I can get that for 500 GBP that would be awesome...

Cheers,

R.

Really great to know that there is still a Subaru community out there.

Cheers,

R.

he has not come back to me as yet so i would say contact him yourself now you are here, just dropped him a mail first thing so not to have someone else get in on it.

these have been on there since mid nov, so they may have gone and he has not updated the post - who knows but pm him and see how you get on, only takes 2 min to set up an account.

best of luck

No, he was a gentleman and only said that they were sold.
I thought while I do not have the fronts, might as well buy the rears to go towards my dream setup.

Cheers,

nice find erchie oh and from the two sets i have bought in the past secondhand you will need the mounting brackets to along with the bells and i was told that as a recommendation it is advised to replace the bolts with a new set when fitting i think they are about £50 for the set. not to sure what the bells will cost and the brackets, it might be worth a call to an AP dealer to find out.

just a thought

I figured that as well. Let's see how the price progresses and we can go from there.

Meanwhile I have checked and the EVO is a "Leading" setup as opposed to a "Trailing", which makes a difference in piston design. I am trying to find out if the same applies to the 4 pots as well (they seem to have identical pistons).

Thanks again to all of you still having my back...

Cheers,

R.

To swap a leading caliper , to a trailing caliper only requires the bleed nipples and link pipes swapping over , in that I mean put the pipes where the nipples were and vise versa

Thanks Ian, that is good to know...

While I keep looking at the EVO version, I sort of set myself up for Erchie's brakes. It has almost been 3 weeks (said 4-6 weeks). So counting, plus I hope the 6 pot as well comes. Options options... Much better then problems problems...

Cheers,

R.
